Posted the fourth-best batting average on the team (.323)... Led the squad in slugging percentage (.496), on base percentage (.452), runs scored (53), hits (73), doubles (21), walks (30), and also led the team in being hit by pitch (23)... Recorded 33 RBI, four home runs, legged out three triples, and stole nine bases... Scored a season-high four runs against Belmont (5/22) and hit a season-best four hits vs. Eastern Kentucky (5/24) two days later at the OVC Tournament... 2012: Named to the Ohio Valley Conference All-Freshman Team… Appeared in 47 games with 40 starts… Hit .248 in 145 at-bats with 36 hits including 12 doubles (Third on the Redhawks) and one triple and one home run… Recorded 21 RBI and scored 21 runs... Tied for the team lead in sacrifice bunts with five… Was 5-for-5 in stolen bases ranking second on the Redhawks… Recorded a career-high three hits three times during the season… Had a career day against IPFW on February 25 going 3-for-3 with his first career home run recording a career-high four RBI… Recorded a career-high three runs against IPFW on February 26… Was 3-for-5 with two RBI and a run scored against Morehead State on April 15.

Prep: Jason was a three-year starter and a four year varsity middle infielder for Valle Catholic... He hit .561 with six home runs to gain All-State honors... He repeated the honors as a junior when he hit .474... He made the All-Conference team as a sophomore when he hit .371 with one home run... He was a part of a State Championship team his junior year, and was in uniform as a freshman when Valle took third place at the State Championships... He was an All-State tight end on the football team, and also lettered in basketball.
