The Redhawks carry a two-game winning streak to Chattanooga, Tenn. Southeast is coming off of back-to-back home wins against Lyon College (89-61 on Nov. 12) and McNeese State (64-53 on Nov. 15). The Redhawks were last on a three-game winning streak midway through the 2011-12 season (Dec. 22-Jan. 5).
Series History
Southeast meets Southern Conference member Chattanooga for the first time in Sunday's matinee at McKenzie Arena. Meanwhile, the Redhawks own winning records against both Louisiana Tech and Troy. Southeast 1-2 against the Bulldogs and a perfect 4-0 against the Trojans. The Redhawks last faced Louisiana Tech in 2007-08 and Troy in 1995-96.
Double-Digit Wins
Both of Southeast's wins this season have been by double-digits. The Redhawks beat NAIA Lyon College by a season-best +28 (89-61) margin to earn their first win on Nov. 12. Three days later, Southeast beat McNeese State, 64-53, in a return game from last year's ESPN BracketBuster. The Redhawks have not won three-straight games by double figures since 2007-08.
Dunk Fest
Southeast is averaging five dunks per game this young season. The Redhawks had a season-high nine jams, including seven in the first half of their game against Lyon College (Nov. 12).
Nino Johnson and
Tyler Stone lead the team with eight and six, respectively.
A.J. Jones has the other dunk this year.
Johnson Off to Strong Start
Nino Johnson has scored double figures in each of his first three career starts. Johnson recently scored 20 points in a game for the first time when he made 9-of-11 field goals and 2-of-5 free throws against McNeese State (Nov. 15). Prior to that, he scored 12 points at Kansas (Nov. 9) and 14 points vs. Lyon College (Nov. 12). Johnson is averaging a double-double 15.3 points and 11 rebounds per game this season. He leads the Ohio Valley Conference in rebounding and ranks 11th in scoring.
Smith Breaks School Record in Three-Point Attempts
Marland Smith broke Southeast's all-time career record in three-point field goals made against McNeese State (Nov. 15). Smith's five three-point shots versus the Cowboys pushed his career total to 568. He surpassed Derek Winans (564, 2001-05) for the new mark. In addition, Smith moved to 14th on the school's all-time career scoring list with 1,115 points.
Stone Takes Control

He leads the team and stands tied for ninth in the Ohio Valley Conference with 17 points per game.
Frontcourt Dominates
As expected, Southeast's frontcourt tandem of
