Hall of Fame Weekend
Five individuals and one team will be inducted into Southeast's Athletics Hall of Fame during a special dinner and induction ceremony on Dec. 9. John “Hap” Bernard (Basketball, Football, Baseball, 1908-13), Greg Brune (Football, Baseball, 1964-68), Bobby Ferguson (Track & Field, 1983-86), Jeremy Johnson (Baseball, 1996-2000), Tom Thrower (Football, Basketball, Track & Field, 1958-60) and the 1991 Softball Team make up the 2011 class which will be honored during halftime of Saturday's game. Southeast's Athletics Hall of Fame, which originated in 2002, presently includes 71 individuals and 14 teams.

Wear Your White
Southeast's game with UMKC is a "White Out." Fans are encouraged to wear white to support the Redhawks.

Home-and-Home
UMKC visits Cape Girardeau on the backend of a home-and-home series which began last season. The Kangaroos beat Southeast, 70-62, in Kansas City on Nov. 20, 2010.

Non-Conference Home Winning Streak
Southeast strung together four-straight home non-conference victories for the first time since 2003-04. That year, the Redhawks won seven of their 11 non-league contests. That included a stretch of seven-consecutive non-conference wins at home. The 2003-04 campaign also marked the last time Southeast finished with a winning non-conference record.

Brister Out for Two Weeks
Redhawk guard Marcus Brister is expected to miss at least two weeks with a knee injury he sustained during the team's practice on Dec. 6. Brister started every game this season and is currently Southeast's third-leading scorer with 7.9 points per game. He leads the Redhawks with 28 assists and ranks second with eight steals. Brister also ranks among the top-10 Ohio Valley Conference leaders in field goal percentage (5th, .549), assists (10th, 3.1 apg) and assist/turnover ratio (10th, 28/28, 1.0 ratio). Results of an MRI on Brister's right knee revealed no structural damage.

Powell Doubles Up
Leon Powell registered his second-straight double-double when he pitched in 26 points and pulled down an Ohio Valley Conference single-game high 19 rebounds at Central Arkansas (Dec. 5). Powell shot 11-of-16 from the field, nabbed 10 offensive rebounds and had two blocks, as well. He also finished with 10 points and 10 rebounds against Southeastern Louisiana (Dec. 3). Powell posted a double-double in back-to-back games for the second time in his career.
