Southeast Hosts Harris-Stowe in Home-Opener Monday
Southeast Missouri (0-1) hosts NAIA member Harris-Stowe (3-2) in its home-opener Monday. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m., CT, at the Show Me Center.

Check Out the New Court at the Show Me Center
Southeast will play its first game on its brand new court against Harris-Stowe Monday. A new court and goals were installed at the Show Me Center last week. The new court features black sidelines and baselines, making it different from the old parquet floor that was surrounded by red sidelines and baselines. Meanwhile, the new goals have LED lighting around the backboards.

Redhawks in Home-Openers
The Redhawks are 12-7 in home-openers since joining the NCAA Division I ranks in 1991-92. Southeast fell to Grambling State, 77-76, in overtime to open its home schedule a year ago. The Redhawks are 0-2 in home-openers under head coach Dickey Nutt. Southeast last won a home-opener when it beat Culver-Stockton, 89-50, on Nov. 21, 2008.

Series History
Southeast is 7-2 all-time against Harris-Stowe, an NAIA Division I member out of the American Midwest Conference. This year marks the first time the Redhawks face Harris-Stowe since their move to the NCAA Division I level in 1991-92. Each of the nine previous meetings between these teams were played when Southeast was a NCAA Division II school.

Redhawks Start 2011-12 Strong
Southeast opened the season with a strong showing at No. 25 Missouri on Nov. 11. The Redhawks took a quick 7-0 lead and shot 52 percent early on. Southeast later held a six-point lead (32-26) when Marland Smith dropped in a layup with 4:36 left in the first half.The Tigers then finished the opening stanza on a 12-4 run to take a 38-36 lead at the break. Missouri, which would not trail again, won by a score of 83-68.
