Kent Phillips is in his 18th year at Southeast Missouri.
A native of Cape Girardeau, Phillips initially returned to SEMO as Coordinator of Facilities & Event Management in January, 2007. He was later promoted to Assistant Director of Athletics for Facilities & Event Managment.
Phillips, a former standout on SEMO's men's golf team, manages all home athletic events from a staffing and set up standpoint. He schedules the use of Houck Field and Houck Field House, supervises facility projects and maintenance and oversees the Redhawk spirit groups and Rowdy, the school's official mascot. Phillips a member of the Show Me Center Board of Managers, as well.
Prior to coming back to Cape Girardeau, Phillips worked as a marketing assistant at the University of Auburn. Before that, he spent two years as a graduate assistant in SEMO's marketing department.
Phillips graduated from SEMO with a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management in 2004. He also earned a Master of Arts in Education (Athletic Administration) from SEMO in 2006. He and his wife, Jamie, reside in Cape Girardeau.
