The Redhawks will compete with the Tigers for the second time this season. In the first matchup The Redhawks fell 6-1 despite battling for the doubles point.
Yontha Tadoum and
Sofia Zemtsova secured a 6-3 win at No. 3 doubles, and
Maja Bajorek and Mia Mayerova battled but ultimately fell in a tiebreak 7-6 at No. 2. The lone win for SEMO came from Mayerova 6-3, 6-4 at No. 6 singles. Including this match the Tigers are 13-0 all time against SEMO.Â

The Leathernecks are looking for their first win against SEMO. The Redhawks are 5-0 in a series that dates back to 2012. Last season in Cape Girardeau, the Redhawks earned a 5-2 win.Â

SEMO secured its first OVC win of the season with a 6-1 win over Southern Indiana. SEMO started strong by clinching the doubles point with wins on courts No. 1 and No. 3. The duo of
Saskia Soome and
Yontha Tadoum battled their way to a 7-5 victory over Sofia Davidoff and Antonia Ferrarini at No. 1 doubles. Meanwhile,
Juliette Demunck and
Kristina Kozakova swept Claire Meyer and Rylie Wilkison with a decisive 6-0 win at No. 3 doubles. The No. 2 doubles match, featuring
Maja Bajorek and Mia Mayerova against Enna Krnjic and Anais Negrail, was left unfinished at 5-6.

In singles play, SEMO extended their lead with Kozakova's commanding 6-0, 6-1 victory at No. 6 singles over Meyer, and Mayerova's 6-1, 6-0 triumph over Wilkison at No. 4 singles. Southern Indiana managed to secure a point at No. 5 singles as Negrail edged out Tadoum 6-3, 6-4. However, SEMO regained momentum with
Sofia Zemtsova claiming a tough three-set win against Krnjic at No. 3 singles, 6-2, 3-6, 6-3, pushing SEMO ahead 4-1 and clinching the dual match.

Bajorek further cemented SEMO's victory with a gritty 7-6, 7-5 win at No. 1 singles against Ferrarini. Demunck closed out the competition by overcoming Davidoff 6-7(3), 6-2, 6-4 at No. 2 singles. SEMO walked away with a 6-1 dual match victory.

OVC Athlete of the Week

Maja Bajorek, with her win, was tabbed as OVC Singles Player of the Week. It is the first time a Redhawk has won this award this season. She was cited after winning 7-6, 7-5 win at No. 1 singles against USI.Â
