CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – The Southeast Missouri Tennis team dropped its home opener 4-0 to Illinois State Sunday afternoon.
The Redbirds earned the doubles point winning the two completed matches 6-4 at No. 2 and 6-3 at No. 3.
Kristina Kozakova and
Juliette Demunck's match at No. 1 doubles went unfinished when they were down 4-3.
Illinois State finished the match winning at No. 1 No. 4 and No. 5 singles.
Maja Bajorek won the first set in her match 6-4 at No. 2 when it ended unfinished.
Sofia Zemtsova also won her first set 7-5, but her match was also unfinished.
Yontha Tadoum battled back after losing her first set 6-1 to take the second set 6-0 before her match also went unfinished.
The Redhawks will travel to San Marcos, Texas for their next match March 8
th against Texas State.
