BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Southeast Missouri Tennis team pickeda road win against Western Kentucky taking the match 4-3.
SEMO kicked things off by taking the crucial doubles point winning at No. 2 and No. 3.
Maja Bajorek and Mia Mayerova started the match off strong with a 6-1 win at No. 2.
Yontha Tadoum and
Sofia Zemtsova moved to 6-1 at No. 3 battling for a 7-5 win to take the point.
Kristina Kozakova and
Juliette Demunck were in a tight 5-4 match as the No. 3 doubles team secured the point.
The squad secured the win with wins at No. 2, No. 3 and No. 6 singles. Zemtsova was the first match complete at No. 3 winning 6-4, 6-3. Tadoum also won in straight sets with a 6-4, 6-4 win at No. 6. Bajorek secured the win with a three set battle at No. 2 singles. After losing the first set 6-4 she fiyght back for a 6-3 win in the second set and finished off the match in a tie breaker. Demunck, Kozakova and Mayerova all lost in three set matches.
The Redhawks will host their first match of the spring when Illinois State comes into Cape Girardeau with first serve slated for 1 p.m.
