Series History

Thje Redhawks have played against Western Kentucky six times in the program's history, that dates back to 2000 and carry a 1-5 record into the matchup. The lone win for SEMO came in 2014 when it beat the Hilltoppers 5-2. Since that win the two squads have met twice (the last two seasons) and Western Kentucky hosted and defeated SEMO 5-2 both matches.

SEMO and Illinois State will meet up for the fifth time, as Illinois State carries a 3-1 record into the match. The two teams haven't played each other since 2021 in which the Redhawks got the win 4-2, and before that the last time the two teams played was 2016, in which the Redbirds won 6-1.

Home Cooking

SEMO will play its first home match of the season Sunday, returning to the John C. Bierk Redhawks Tennis Complex where it has had much success over the past four seasons. Since the 2021-22 seasons SEMO is 15-2 at home. Furthermore, SEMO hasn't lost a home match each of the last three seasons as they went 2-0 in head coach Steve Brooks's first season, 5-0 in 2024 and 4-0 in 2023.

Last Time Out

The Redhawks traveled to Memphis, Tennessee to take on No. 73 ranked Harvard for the first time in program history and lost 7-0 in a close match. Against Memphis, the day after, The Redhawks lost 4-0 but before the match was finished Yontha Tadoum won the opening set of her match 6-3.
