The Southeast Missouri tennis team returns to Tennessee; this time it heads to Memphis to battle with Harvard Saturday before playing Memphis Sunday.Â

This will be the first ever matchup between the Crimson and the Redhawks. Â

SEMO and Memphis will meet up for the fourth time. The Redhawks are looking for their first win against the Tigers. The last meeting between the two squads came in 2020. Before 2020 the two teams meet in 2008 and 2009.Â

Last Time Out
Â
SEMO was victorious in Nashville, Tennessee defeating Tennessee Southern 7-0 and Belmont 5-2. Against Tennessee Southern, the Redhawks controlled the match from the start. In the three sets, SEMO lost just two games combined taking all three doubles matches to earn the doubles point. In the singles matches the Redhawks lost just four games in 12 sets.

Against Belmont SEMO won matches at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles to take the doubles point.
Kristina Kozakova teamed up with
Juliette Demunck to win 6-3 at No. 2 and
Yontha Tadoum and
Sofia Zemtsova aso won 6-3 at No. 3. In the singles matches Demunck continued her perfect weekend winning 6-3, 6-2 at No. 2, Zemtsova battled from behind after losing the first set 6-1 to win the second and third sets 7-6, 6-1. SEMO also took care of business at No. 5 and No. 6 with Mayerova winning at No. 5 singles 6-1, 7-6 and Tadoum winning 7-5, 6-1 at No. 6.

OVC Doubles Team of the Week

For the second time this season Southeast Missouri Tennis had a duo tabbed as OVC Doubles Team of the Week.
Juliette Demunck and
Kristina Kozakova won the award after losing just five games across their two sets. The duo of
Maja Bajorek and Mia Mayerova already took home this award earlier in the season. Demunck and Kozakova have played and won in all three lineup spots but are 4-0 at the No. 2 spot in the lineup.Â

No. 6 Dominance
Â
The Redhawks have a combined 8-2 record at the No. 6 spot in the singles lineup with four different players in that lineup slot. Mia Mayerova has played the most matches in the lineup spot and has a 5-1 record.
