WATERLOO, Iowa — The Southeast Missouri women's tennis team earned a 5–2 victory over Northern Iowa on Saturday.
SEMO set the tone early by sweeping all three doubles matches to secure the opening point. The pairing of
Maja Bajorek and Mia Mayerova earned a 6–4 win at No. 1 doubles, while
Juliette Demunck and
Kristina Kozakova followed with a 6–3 victory at No. 2. The Redhawks completed the sweep when
Claudia Casas and
Yontha Tadoum picked up a 6–4 decision at No. 3 doubles.
In singles action, SEMO clinched the match with four wins throughout the lineup. Bajorek continued her strong day with a straight-sets win at No. 2 singles, defeating Yangjiaxin Li 6–1, 6–3.
At No. 4, Demunck delivered a dominant 6–3, 6–0 performance, while Kozakova added a 6–2, 6–2 win at No. 5. The match was sealed when Mayerova battled to a three-set victory at No. 6, winning 6–0, 3–6, 6–0.
