MURFEESBORO, Tenn. – The Southeast Missouri tennis team will travel to Murfreesboro, Tennessee to partake in the Middle Tennessee Fall Invite Friday through Sunday.
The squad will compete in an ITA sanctioned hidden dual. Along with the hosts Middle Tennessee State, other teams competing include Miami (Ohio), Tennessee State, Western Kentucky, and Lipscomb.
Last Time Out
The Redhawks just returned from the Missouri State Fall Invitational. In the singles matches the Redhawks won 10 matches including a perfect 3-0 record from
Sofia Zemtsova and Juliette
Demunck. Mia Mayerova, Yontha Tadoum and Claudia Casas also added wins for SEMO.
In the doubles draw the Redhawks went 6-3. Zemtsova continued her hot fall teaming up with Kristna Kozakova and went 3-0 in the B-Flight. Mayerova and Maja Bajorek also picked up two wins in the A-Flight.
New Redhawk Making a Strong Impression
It is Sofia Zemtsova's first season playing for the Redhawks after she transferred in from Christian Brothers University. Zemtsova, originally from Pyatigorsk, Russia, has started her Redhawk fall career 7-1 in singles and 6-2 in doubles with Kozakova. Her lone loss came at the OVC Fall Tournament in which she lost to the eventual runner up in the A-Flight. She has also won five matches in straight sets.

SEMO will wrap up its fall slate at the ITA Regionals hosted by the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, Tennessee.
