The Southeast Missouri tennis team continues its fall schedule traveling in state to Springfield to play in the Missouri State Fall Invitational.
The format of the invite will be a flighted draw with Missouri State, Lindenwood and Missouri-St. Louis joining the Redhawks. The matches will start in the morning and continue throughout Friday and Saturday
Last Time Out
SEMO traveled to Southern Indiana and participated in the OVC Fall Invitational. In the A-Flight singles matches
Maja Bajorek won two matches before falling in the third round to the eventual champion Yahli Noy from Bryant 6-1, 6-2.
Sofia Zemtsova won her first-round match in three sets before falling in the second round to the runner up Elena Paliouira from SIUE.
In the B-Flight Mia Mayerova and
Yontha Tadoum represented SEMO. Mayerova won her first two matches before falling in the B-Flight championship 6-3, 6-2 to Stefaniya Anikina from SIUE. Tadoum lost in her first match against Anikina but would go on to win all three matches in the consolation bracket including a three-set win against Jessica Hess from Western Illinois.
In the C-Flight,
Claudia Casas lost her first match to Denver Johnson from Western Illinois, but she recovered well by winning her final three matches in the consolation bracket including two three-set wins.
In the doubles tournament Zemtsova joined
Kristina Kozakova and won their first-round match 6-3 over a duo from Lindenwood. The other duo for SEMO in the A-Flight was Mayerova and Bajorek who also won their first-round match 6-3 against a team from Southern Indiana. Both duos would fall in the second round.

SEMO will wrap up its fall slate at the ITA Regionals hosted by the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, Tennessee.
