Redhawks Return To Capaha Field For Weekend Series With Tennessee Tech
Southeast Missouri (18-17, 7-2 OVC) return to the friendly confines of Capaha Field to continue Ohio Valley Conference action against the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles (10-21, 2-4 OVC). The weekend series will commence on Friday, April 14, at 6 p.m., CT. Saturday will begin at 2 p.m., and Sunday will begin at 1 p.m., CT.Â

Fill The Hill Friday
The tradition continues. 'Fill the Hill' Fridays are back beginning this Friday versus Tennessee Tech. Complimentary adult beverages will be provided by Kohlfield Distributing to anyone 21+ with a valid I.D. Â

Coolers are also allowed on Friday for fans wanting to bring their own drinks to the stadium. Fans are welcome to bring their own coolers stocked with their favorite beverages to the ballpark for a nominal fee at the gate. Cost is $10Â for any size cooler. Coolers may contain beverages only as outside food is prohibited.Â

Donate Life Game
Friday's game is also the annual SEMO Blue & Green Donate Life Game sponsored by Mid-America Transplant. The Redhawks will wear a specialized blue & green uniform to highlight the importance of organ donation. The first 200 fans will receive a t-shirt and registered organ donors receive free admission.Â
Bark At The Park
Saturday, April 15, will mark SEMO's "Bark in the Park" presented by Cape Small Animal Clinic. The first 100 dogs to make their way through the gates, will receive a free red tennis ball. Bring your pup to the park and enjoy America's pastime with man's best friend.Â

The Redhawks and Golden Eagles have faced one another 99 times, marking Friday's matchup as the 100th matchup between the two schools. The Redhawks maintain a 56-43 overall record against TTU, but dropped 2-of-3 last season in Cookeville.

Payton Lawrence currently sit in seventh and eighth in the OVC in ERA. Niznik supports a 3.48, while Lawrence currently sits at 3.81.Â

Opposing hitters are hitting just .226 and .238, respectively, Niznik is second in the OVC in strikeouts with 38 and trails only Jake Bockenstedt (39) of SIUE.

Under the second stint for Coach Matt Bragga's 17th season at TTU, the Golden Eagles come into the weekend series having dropped a midweek contest, 4-1, to Lipscomb in Nashville.Â

TTU is currently 10-21 overall with a 2-4 OVC mark, salvaging Saturday's game three versus Lindenwood to improve to two wins in conference play.Â

Tech's offense is led by Preston Ford and Peyton Mills. Ford is leading the Golden Eagles in batting average with a .313 mark. Mills leads the team in home runs (11), RBIs (35), runs (26), and slugging percentage (.615).Â

The Tech bullpen is anchored by Brody Lanham who has two saves on the season and leads the team with a 5.06 ERA.Â
