Track & Field Head to Bellarmine to Compete in the PNC Bank Bellarmine Classic

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. - Southeast Missouri track & field will be back on the road this week as the Redhawks travel to Louisville, Ky. to compete at the PNC Bank Bellarmine Classic on Friday, February 3 beginning at 9 a.m. 
 
The Redhawks fifth meet of the season will take place at the Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center in Louisville, Ky. hosted by Bellarmine. 
 
The Event will start with the Field events at 9:00 a.m. C.T. followed by the track events at 10:00 a.m.
 
OVC Athlete of the Week
Dylan Clark was selected as the Ohio Valley Conference Male Field Athlete of the Week for his performance at the Indiana Relays this past weekend, the league announced Wednesday afternoon. 
 
The graduate student from Arnold, Mo. finished in fourth place out of 23 athletes during Saturday's competition in the men's weight throw. 
 
Clark heaved the weight a distance of 66-8 (20.32m) which set a new personal-best for his career. 
 
Last Time Out
The Redhawks last competed at the Indiana Relays on January 27-28th where multiple Redhawks had top 10 and top five finishes. 
 
Luke Hatfield Jackson and Aarion Jackson took first and second in the Men's Long jump. Hatfield Jackson notched a mark of 23-1.75 and Jackson, a freshman, finished with a jump of 22-10.
 
Breanna Miles placed third in the 200m with a time of 24.61, while Nick Cimmarusti posted a fourth-place showing in the 5000m where he clocked a time of 14:52.24.
 
Serena Williams jumped 17-8 in the women's long jump placing fifth and took third place in the triple jump with a jump of 37-3.25 (11.36m).
 
In the Women's High Jump, Sophie Dubis recorded a 5-1 mark and a fifth place finish. 
 
Luke Busateri finished with a jump of 46-3.25 (14.10m) in the Triple Jump and took home a third-place finish
 
In the women's pole vault Clara Billing took fourth and Skylar Prescott took seventh. Billing finished with a vault of 12-4.75 (3.78m) and Prescott got to a height of 11-5 (3.48m).
 
Noah Little, a junior from Washington, Mo. crossed the finish line in 4:17.44 during the men's mile run earning a fifth place finish.
 
Sullivan Gleason placed fifth in the Pole Vault reaching a height of 14-9.
 
Where We Rank
 
Luke Hatfield Jackson is ranked 18th in the NCAA and first in the conference for the high jump. Jackson jumped 7' 0.5" (2.15m) at the John Gartland Invitational Jan. 20.
 
Jackson is also ranked 29th in the nation and first in the conference for his 25' 0.75" (7.64m) long jump at the 2023 Redhawks Invite Jan. 14.
 

Parker Feuerborn is ranked 15th in the nation and first in the OVC in weight throw. The senior achieved a 71' 8.75" (21.86m) mark at the John Gartland Invitational Jan. 20.
 

Dylan Clark is ranked 37th in the NCAA and second in the OVC in weight throw. Clark threw 66' 1.75" (20.16m) at the John Gartland Invitational on Jan. 20.
 

Breanna Miles is ranked third in the OVC for the 60-meter (7.63), second in the 200-meter (24.61), and fifth in the 400-meter (58.31).
 

Terrico Garrett is ranked second in the OVC in the 800-meter (1:51.67).
 
Madalyn Gray is ranked first in the conference for the women's 800-meter (2:15.57) while teammate Brianna Payton is ranked second (2:15.59).
 

Katie Wegmann is ranked first in the mile (4:55.78), third in the 3000-meter (10:00.56), and first in the 5000-meter (17:32.65) in the OVC.
 

Hannah Eastman is ranked fourth in the conference in the mile (4:58.56), fourth in the 3000-meter (10:00.86), and second in the 5000-meter (17:45.71).
 

Taylor Fox is ranked first in the OVC in the 3000-meter (9:53.20) and third in the mile (4:57.00)
 

Seth Gleason has the fifth best time in the conference for the 5000-meter (15:03.90).
 
Nick Cimmarusti is ranked fourth in the 5000-meter (14:52.24).
 

Lexie Dockstader has the fifth best time in the conference for the women's 5000-meter (18:30.69).

Clara Billing is ranked third in the OVC for the 60-meter hurdles (9.05) and first for pole vault (12' 11.75", 3.96m).
 
Ana Thompson has the fifth best time in the conference for the 60-meter hurdles (9.06).
 
In the 4x400 the team of Micheal Weaver, 
Markeith CrawfordTerrico GarrettBrock Wood are ranked third in the OVC (3:19.23).
 
In the women's 4x400 the team of Breanna Miles, Erika Mellor, Brianna Payton, Laila Hardin are ranked fourth in the OVC (3:55.57).
 
The team of Micheal Weaver, Markeith Crawford, Terrico Garrett, and Justin Splitt are ranked second in the distance medley (10:10.13) in the OVC.
 
In the women's distance medley the team of Taylor Fox, Erika Mellor, Brianna Payton, and Madelyn Gray (11:52.61).
 

Serena Williams is ranked second in the conference for the high jump (5' 5", 1.65m), fifth for the long jump (17' 11.75", 5.48m), and second in the triple jump (38' 4.75", 11.70m).
 

Sophie Dubis and Anna Thomason are ranked fifth in the OVC for high jump as well (5' 3")
 
For the men's pole vault 
Colin Beers is 1st (15' 5.75", 4.72m), Sullivan Gleason second (15' 0", 4.57m), Tanner Koontz fourth (14' 4.5", 4.38m), and Shea DeGraaf fifth (13' 10", 4.22m).
 
Skylar Prescott is ranked fourth in the conference in the women's pole vault (11' 5", 3.48m).
 

Todjai Ross is also ranked fifth for the long jump in the OVC (17' 11.75", 5.48m).
 
In the men's shot put 
Marshall Swadley is third in the OVC (54' 2", 16.51m), Dylan Clark fourth (53' 8.5", 16.37m), and Clay Alewelt is ranked fifth (53' 0.75", 16.17m).
 
In the women's shot put 
Megan Deimeke is ranked third in the OVC (43' 2.5", 13.17m) and first in weight throw (57' 2.25", 17.43m)
 
Piper Klinger is ranked fifth in shot put (41' 7", 12.67m) and second in weight throw (57' 2", 17.42m).
 
In men's weight throw Marshall Swadley is ranked fourth in the OVC (59' 1.25", 18.01m) and Clay Alewelt fifth (57' 7", 17.55m).
 
Makenzie Williams has the third best throw in the women's weight throw (56' 10.25", 17.33m).
 

Kaitlyn McGinnitey has the second best time in the conference for the Pentathlon with 3208 total points.
 

Isaac Readnour has the third best time in the OVC for the Heptathlon with 4618 total points.
 
Looking Ahead
After the PNC Bellarmine Bank Classic, the Redhawks will head back to Bloomington, Indiana for the Hoosier Hills Invite Friday, February 10th.
