CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – Southeast Missouri women's tennis coach Mary Beth Gunn announced Thursday the signing of Cosima Trinity Calinescu ahead of the 2022-23 season. 
 
"We are so excited to add Trinity to our team," Gunn said of Cosima Trinity Calinescu. "She is a top-notch tennis player and student. She is a mature tennis player who is bringing with her the experience needed to play at the Division I level. She will be a great asset to our team and to our campus."
 
Calinescu, who hails from Verrières le Buisson, France, graduated from the Online French School of CNED, Rouen in 2021 and heads to SEMO with a wealth of club tennis experience.
 
Outside of tennis, Calinescu enjoys riding horses and competed in team aerobatics where she won the "Iles de France" Championship. 
 
The daughter of Cosmin and Cécile Calinescu, Cosima Trinity Calinescu, intends to major in Psychology at SEMO.
