Redhawks Drop Midweek Tilt at Southern Illinois on Walkoff Home Run

SEMO held a 6-1 lead until SIU scored five runs to tie the game in the bottom of the eighth inning. The Salukis then won on a walkoff home run in the bottom of the 11th. SIU used a pair of one-run victories to sweep the home-and-home series this season.

Extra! Extra!
The Redhawks have gone to extra innings in three of their last four games. Southeast Missouri won a pair of 10-inning contests vs. Morehead State before falling at Southern Illinois (Apr. 26). SEMO has been involved in six extra-inning affairs this year and is 5-1 in those matchups.

Andrews Gets 10th Home Run
Lincoln Andrews has hit four home runs in his last three games. Andrews recently picked up his 10th home run of the season with a two-run shot in the top of the eighth inning at Southern Illinois (Apr. 26). Bombs Away
The Redhawks hit five home runs in a game for the fourth time this season in their series finale against Morehead State (Apr. 23). Lincoln Andrews accounted for three of those round-trippers in the doubleheader. Andrews hit a grand slam in SEMO's 16-9 victory and then homered twice in the Redhawks 9-8 win.

All three of those victories came in Oxford.
