Biography

2021: One of three Redhawks to start all 52 games…Ranked third on the team with a .298 batting average…Led the team in runs scored (36) and stolen bases (17) and ranked second in hits (61)…Added nine doubles, a triple, five home runs and 25 RBI…Hit .337 with a team-best 40 runs in Ohio Valley Conference play…Registered 16 multiple-hit games and five multi-RBI performances…His 16 multi-hit performances were third-most on the team…OVC Commissioner’s Honor Roll selection…Pieced together a 12-game hitting streak from Apr. 2-30…Finished second in the OVC in stolen bases and tied for fifth in stolen base attempts (19)…Had a season-high three hits on four occasions…Caught the final out of the Redhawks OVC Tournament title clinching win vs. Murray State (5/30)…Went 3-for-3 with a season-best three runs scored vs. UT Martin (5/20)...Was 3-for-5 with two home runs, two runs and three RBI at Austin Peay (4/28).

2020 (Shortened due to COVID-19): Southeast Missouri’s third-leading hitter with a .400 batting average…Was one of three Redhawks who hit .400 or better in 17 games…Tied for second on the team with 28 hits…Added four doubles, a home run and 19 RBI…His 19 RBI were second-most on the team…Boasted a .500 slugging percentage and .463 on-base percentage…Posted seven stolen bases in nine attempts…Eleven of his starts were split between catcher (6) and left field (5)…Knocked in the winning run on a walk-off infield single with the bases loaded to send SEMO to a 16-15 extra inning win over Northern Illinois (2/22)…The Redhawks scored nine runs in the bottom of the eighth inning to tie the game before Keck’s heroics…Went 4-for-5 with a run scored, two walks and two RBI in that game against the Huskies…Hit safely in 14 of the 17 games he played…Recorded multiple hits in six of his first eight starts…Four of those performances came in a six-day span from Feb. 15-21…Led the team with 11 multi-hit games and was tied for second with five multiple-RBI contests…Ranked among the top 10 OVC leaders in batting average (8th), on-base percentage (9th), hits (t3rd), RBI (t5th), stolen bases (4th), total plate appearances (8th, 80), at-bats (t3rd, 70) and fielding percentage (t1st, 1.000)…Tied for 12th in the nation in hits…OVC Commissioner’s Honor Roll selection.  
 
2019: Started 44 of 47 games his first college season…Thirty-five of his starts were at catcher…Was also in the lineup as the Redhawks starting left fielder in five games…Hit .255 with 20 runs scored, 10 doubles, a triple, three home runs and 25 RBI…Was 10-of-12 in stolen bases…Tied for second on the team in doubles and home runs, and rated third in stolen bases…Accumulated 10 multiple-hit games and led the team with 10 multi-RBI performances…Put together a seven-game hitting streak from Apr. 23-May 5…Capped that streak by going 4-for-4 with two doubles, a run scored, two RBI and two walks at Belmont (5/5)…Went 2-for-4 with one run scored, two RBI and his first career home run vs. Austin Peay (3/23)…Ended the season by hitting safely in 12 of his last 14 games…Scored 13 runs, had seven doubles, hit two home runs and posted 12 RBI in OVC play…Ranked eighth in the league in fielding percentage (.997)…Threw out 12 baserunners…OVC Commissioner’s Honor Roll selection.
 
Prep: First-Team All-Conference, All-State and All-Metro honoree as a senior at St. John Vianney High School…Hit .330 with 37 hits, 40 runs scored and 35 RBI in 112 at-bats his final prep season…Held a .453 on-base percentage and .500 slugging percentage that year, as well…Named First-Team All-Conference and All-Metro, and Second-Team All-State his junior year…Hit .452 with 33 runs, 52 hits and 29 RBI to go along with a .543 on-base percentage and .600 slugging percentage that season…Was an Under Armour All-American and his team’s  Offensive Most Valuable Player…Won a state championship with St. John Vianney in 2018.
