BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Donald Hatfield Jackson, the 2021 Ohio Valley Conference Men's Athlete of the Championship and 2021 OVC High Jump Gold Medalist, competed in the field event Friday at the 2021 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships West Preliminary held at E.B. Cushing Stadium on the campus of Texas A&M.
 
Hatfield Jackson cleared a high jump height of 6-7 (2.01m) on his first attempt for 40th overall at the Preliminary. The Arnold, Missouri native, competed in the first of two flights Friday afternoon.

Arizona's Justice Summerset posted a height of 7-2.25 (2.19) to top the Preliminary.
 
Hatfield Jackson made his NCAA Preliminary debut Wednesday in the long jump, registering a feat of 24-9.75 (7.56m) for 21st overall in the event.
 
Kaitlyn Shea, the 2021 OVC Women's Track Athlete of the Year, will compete in the 3,000-meter steeplechase Saturday evening at 6:10 p.m., CT.
