CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – The Southeast Missouri Track and Field Teams had four athletes earn OVC weekly awards, the league announced Wednesday afternoon.
Alyssa Repke was the lone female winner earning the Female Freshman of the Week and the team swept the male awards with
Cole Reinders securing Track Athlete of the Week, Zavier
Winton obtained Field Athlete of the Week and
Jon'David White took home Freshman of the Week.
Repke, a freshman from Augusta, Missouri, set a personal best mark in the hammer throw finishing sixth and reaching 173' 11", which also ranks at the top of the OVC. She also finished fourth in the discus at the Joey Haines Invitational with a mark of 135' 9".
Reinders a senior from Senica, Ontario, not only set a personal best mark in the 800m but now sits 13
th in the Midwest region in the event after his event-winning 1:49.79 time.
Winton, a freshman from Troy, Missouri, set two personal bests with one being and event-winning throw in the discus with a mark of 172' 11", the other was in the hammer throw when he finished fifth in the event with a 185' 11".
White, a freshman from St. Louis, Missouri, set a new personal best time of 14.10 in the 110m hurdles while also winning the event. His new mark also sits atop of the OVC list this season.
He also placed seventh in the 400m hurdles.
The squads will be heading back down to Mississippi for the Joe Walker Invite Friday and Saturday hosted by Ole Miss.
