CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo.- Southeast Missouri has 15 student-athletes playing in various baseball leagues this summer. They represent nine teams in seven different conferences, all of which are wood bat leagues.

There are four Redhawks in the Coastal Plain League.
Justin Dirden and
Connor Basler are both on the Savannah Bananas which are first in the South Division with a 13-3 record.
Alex Canty and
Logan Winder are with the Macon Bacon team which stands third with a 7-9 record.Â
Basler has played in four games and has six runs scored, seven hits, three RBI, 14 putouts, 20 assists and a .895 fielding percentage.
Dirden is ranked 10th in the league with .348 batting average and third with a .674 slugging percentage. In 12 games, he has nine runs on 16 hits and 13 RBI. The O'Fallon, Missouri native has three doubles and two home runs, as well. Dirden tops the league with three triples and boasts a 1.000 fielding percentage with 14 putouts in right field.
Senior
Logan Winder has pitched 7.1 innings, walked two and recorded nine strikeouts in four appearances with the Bacon.

Canty scored two runs and tallied one hit in six contests. He also has eight putouts, 14 assists and a .957 fielding percentage.Â

Nathan Bock and junior
Danny Wright are the furthest away from Missouri. Both Bock and Wright play for the Matsu Miners in the Alaska Baseball League. The Miners are 7-7 and rank second in the conference.Â

Bock has pitched 10.2 innings and recorded a 1.69 ERA. He allowed seven hits, struck out 10 and picked up two saves.Â

Wright is second on the team in with a .324 batting average. He appeared in 13 games with eight runs scored, 12 hits and four RBI. Wright is fielding 1.000 with 16 putouts in multiple outfield positions.Â

The Texarkana Twins haveÂ
Hunter Southerland,
Austin Sachse and
Peyton Faulkner on their roster. The Twins put together a six-game winning streak to push their record to 10-11-2 in the Texas Collegiate League. Southerland has split his time between catcher and left field. He hit one home run and has more walks than strikeouts.Â

Faulkner recently joined the Twins and has played in just two games thus far.

Alex Nielsen has recently joined the Brazos Valley Bombers which is in the same league as the Texarkana Twins.Â

Wesley Pyles is playing for the Southern Ohio Copperheads in the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League. The Copperheads sit in second place with a 6-2 record. Pyles has a 3.60 ERA in 10 innings of work. He has eight strikeouts and seven hits. He has moved to a starting pitcher. In Pyles most recent start, he went six innings without letting up a hit.Â

Sophomore
Wade Stauss is a member of the DeLand Suns in the Florida Collegiate League. The Suns are 7-8 and third in their division. Stauss saw action in seven games and has two runs scored, a hit and two walks in 15-at-bats. He has a .933 fielding percentage with 23 putouts at catcher.Â

Junior
Chase Hagerty plays for the Capahas right here in Cape Girardeau. The Capahas are tied for first in the Mon-Clair League with a 7-3 mark.  Hagerty, who is 1-1,  pitched 8.2 innings with 10 strikeouts.

Meanwhile,
Daniel Lloyd,
Austin Blazevic and Gabe Schmipf are getting work in with the Jefferson City Renegades in the MNK League. The Renegades presently occupy second-place in the South Division with a 9-8 record.
Blazevic is hitting .298 with 10 runs, 17 hits, two doubles and 13 RBI through 16 games.
Lloyd notched five strikeouts and allowed two hits in two innings.
Schimpf has seen time at pitcher and in the outfield. He tossed three innings with four strikeouts.
