
Redhawks Wrap Up Vanderbilt Invitational Saturday

Nashville, Tenn. - Southeast Missouri's track and field teams concluded competition Saturday afternoon at the Vanderbilt Invite.
Sierra Maddox kicked of the final round of events by finishing in a three-way tie for 22nd in the women's pole vault, reaching a height of 11'8.50" (3.57m).
In the women's shot put, McKenna Baker placed 18th with a distance of 44'6.75" (13.58m).
Logan Blomquist placed ninth for Southeast in the men's shot put reaching a distance of 55'5.50"
(16.90m).
Leslie Brooks placed 23rd in the women's triple jump reaching a height of 36'4.25" (11.08m)
On the men's side of the triple jump, Tre Curry placed 13th for the Redhawks reaching a height of 47'1" (14.35m).
Moving on to track events, Angie Sumner was the top finisher for Southeast in the women's one mile, clocking in at 5:08.91 good for 31st place.
In the men's one mile, Daniel Plunkett took 25th place with a time of 4:17.90.
Aliyah Sangster finished the women's 400 meter dash in 58.69 good for 34th place.
In the men's 400 meter dash, Colin Schwab placed 34th as well with a time of 50.42.
Moving to the 800 meter, Carli Knott placed 23rd for the women finishing in 2:16.45.
In the men's race, James Kosbar finished in 1:58.15, good for 30th place.
For the women's 3000 meter run, Rachel Hutchcraft was the top Redhawk placing 52nd with a time of 10:48.29.
On the men's side Marc Maton finished 16th for Southeast with a time of 8:28.86.
The men's 4 x 400 relay was the final competition the Redhawks placed in on the final day of competition. The team of Colin Schwab, Brandon Chunn, Bryce Pease and John McDonald placed 12th as a team with a time of 3:21.58.
The Redhawks will resume action next weekend in Bloomington, Ind. at the Indiana Relays. The two-day meet will open Friday, Jan. 26.
