Redhawks Compete in Indiana Relays

Bloomington, Ind. – Southeast Missouri track and field continued its indoor season at the Indiana Relays on Friday and Saturday.
Alyiah Sangster placed 17th for the Redhawks in the women's 200 meter dash with a time of 25.64. She also competed in the 400 meter dash and finished 12th with a time of 58.25.
In the women's 600 meter run, Kendall Long finished in 1:38.01, good for eighth place. Long was also the top Redhawk in the 800 meter run, running in 2:17.95, securing 11th place.
Carli Knott came in ninth place with a time of 5:06.14 in the women's one mile run.
In the women's 3000 meter run, Eilish Overby and Rachel Hutchcraft took sixth and seventh place with times of 10:26.66 and 10:27.21, respectively.
The Redhawks dominated in the competition in the women's 5000 meter run. Sydney O'Brien took first place with a time of 17:18.01, finishing 29 seconds ahead of the next finisher. Angie Sumner and Danielle Mohrmann also took second and third place for Southeast with times of 17:47.42 and 17:52.59, respectively.
In the women's high jump, Courtney Jones took 12th place reaching a height of 4'11.75" (1.52m).
Sierra Maddox finished in a two-way tie for sixth in the women's pole vault reaching 12'0.75" (3.68m).
In the women's long jump Leslie Brooks reached a distance of 16'7.75" (5.07m) good for 11th place.
McKenna Baker took 12th for Southeast in the women's shot put reaching a distance of 44'0.75" (13.43m).
In the women's weight throw Anya Tonga placed eighth, reaching a distance of 56' (17.07m).
Colin Schwab took 16th for the Redhawks in the men's 200 meter dash with a time of 23.25. Schwab also ran in the 400 meter dash and took seventh finishing in 50.9 seconds.
In the men's 600 meter run David Plunkett finished in 1:23.33 good for fourth place. He also competed in the men's 800 meter run and placed eighth with a time of 1:56.63.
Curtis Reed took 19th in the men's one mile run with a time of 4:27.36.
In the men's 3000 meter race Nathan Cook finished in 9:20.92 good for 11th place.
Marc Maton took second in the men's 5000 meter run with a time of 15:04.54.
In the men's high jump Tallyn Brazell reached a height of 6'4.75" (1.95m) good for eighth place.
Logan Blomquist took seventh place in the men's shot put reaching a distance of 55'1.5" (16.8m). He also competed in the men's weight throw and reached 56' (17.07m) good for tenth place.
Ty Crowden placed sixth in the men's heptathlon with a score of 4001.
The Redhawks season continues next Friday and Saturday in Carbondale, Ill. for the SIUC Don DeNoon Invitational on Feb. 2-3.
