
Redhawks Compete in SIU Don DeNoon Invitational

Carbondale, Ill. – Southeast Missouri track and field continued its indoor season at the Don DeNoon Invitational at SIU on Friday and Saturday.
Kristen Carter took fifth place in the women's pentathlon with a final score of 2761.
In the women's pole vault, Sierra Maddox took fourth place reaching a height of 11'6.25" (3.51m).
Cal Urycki took fourth place as well in the men's pole vault, reaching a height of 14'1.25" (4.30m). He also competed in the 60 meter hurdle and placed sixth with a time of 8.69.
In the women's long jump, Leslie Brooks placed 14th reaching 16'6.50" (5.04m). She also took 10th in the triple jump, reaching 35'8.50" (10.88m).
Ty Crowden took 15th place on the men's side of the long jump, reaching 18'0.50" (5.50m). He also competed in the shot put and took 27th reaching 31'5.25" (9.58m).
In the women's high jump, Courtney Jones took 11th reaching 4'11" (1.50m).
Joanne Hollings took 50th in the women's one mile with a time of 6:02.80.
In the men's one mile, Marc Maton placed third with a time of 4:17.33.
Georgia Tomlinson took 17th for the Redhawks in the women's 400 meter, finishing in 1:01.45.
In the men's 400, Brandon Chunn finished 12th with a time of 52.21.
John McDonald placed fifth in the men's 60 meter dash, finishing in 6.96 in the final heat.
In the men's 1000 meter run, Austin Perkins took 11th with a time of 2:37.73.
Adrienne Brauer placed 14th in the women's 3000 meter, finishing in 10:45.85.
In the men's 3000 meter, Nick Yaeger took 13th with a time of 9:07.01.
Southeast continues its indoor season next Friday returning to Bloomington, Ind. for the Hoosier Hills Invite.
