SIU was victorious in game one in Carbondale, 6-5. The two teams have split the series in 2015, 2014, 2012, and 2010 with SIU sweeping in 2013. SEMO last swept in 2011.
A Peek at What's Ahead
SEMO will come home to the friendly confines of Capaha Field for Easter weekend to host Jacksonville State in a three-game series beginning Thursday and running through Saturday. The first two games will be under the lights with first pitch at 6 p.m. with the finale Saturday at 2 p.m. Saint Louis then comes to town to open the annual home-and-home series Tuesday, Apr. 18.
Scouting the Salukis

SIU has seven OVC teams on its schedule this season, having played five already, going 1-8 in nine games. They have been outscored 87-60 against the OVC and have been shutout by Jacksonville State and Austin Peay. In their own conference play, they are 4-2 through two series including a sweep of Evansville and having most recently lost a series at Wichita State.
