Redhawks Host Morehead State
Southeast Missouri (11-14, 6-4) hosts Morehead State (10-12, 6-3) Saturday. Tip-off is set for 4:15 p.m., CT, at the Show Me Center.

Southeast Heats Up
Southeast has heated up to win seven of its last 11 contests. The Redhawks recently saw their season-long four-game winning streak end in a 74-62 road loss at Jacksonville State (Feb. 1). It was Southeast's longest winning streak since the Redhawks won five in a row during the 2013-14 campaign.
First in the OVC West
The Redhawks currently share first-place in the Ohio Valley Conference West Division with UT Martin and Murray State. Southeast, UTM and MSU all have identical 6-4 OVC records.
Series History
Morehead State holds a 28-17 lead in its all-time series against Southeast. The Eagles own a five-game winning streak in the series and have won 13 of the last 14 meetings between these teams. Southeast's last win over Morehead State was on Dec. 28, 2011 (67-51) in Cape Girardeau.

Hall of Fame
Southeast Missouri inducted its 2016 Athletics Hall of Fame Class during a special dinner and ceremony at the Show Me Center Friday. This year's class includes Lea (Beckemeyer) Nenninger(Volleyball, 1998-2000), Dr. John and Judy Holcomb (Friends of the Redhawks), Heather Jenkins (Track & Field, 2002-2006), Eddie Moss (Football, 1970-1971), Jim Klocke (Baseball, 2007-2010) and Ron Shumate (Men's Basketball Coach, 1981-1997). All inductees will be recognized during halftime of Saturdays' game.
Home Winning Streak
The Redhawks are on a five-game winning streak at home. Southeast beat Tennessee Tech, 84-75, on Jan. 10, Eastern Kentucky, 81-48, on Dec. 31, Henderson State, 89-75, on Dec. 29, SIU Edwardsville, 79-76, on Jan. 19 and Eastern Illinois, 83-71, on Jan. 21 during that stretch. Southeast is 8-2 at the Show Me Center.
Back-to-Back-to-Back OVC Freshman of the Week
Guard
Denzel Mahoney was named adidas® Ohio Valley Conference Freshman of the Week three times in a row, Jan. 16, Jan. 23 and Jan. 30. A native of Oviedo, Florida, Mahoney averaged 16.5 points, four rebounds and two assists in two games last week. He shot 50 percent (7-of-14) from the field, 62.5 percent (5-of-8) from 3-point range and was a perfect 14-of-14 at the free throw line. Mahoney opened that week with 10 points, two rebounds and an assist in a home victory over Tennessee Tech. Two days later, he scored a season-high 23 points, made three 3-pointers and buried 12-of-12 free throws at UT Martin. Mahoney secured his second-straight OVC Freshman of the Week honor after averaging a team-high 14.5 points per game to go along with five rebounds and one assist per contest. He shot 53.3 percent (8-of-15) from the field, 50 percent (4-of-8) from 3-point range and 90 percent (9-of-10) at the free throw line. Mahoney reached the 20-point plateau for the third time this season with 20 points against SIU Edwardsville (Jan. 19). He then added nine points, four rebounds, two assists and a steal in the Redhawks victory over Eastern Illinois (Jan. 21). Most recently, Mahoney averaged 22.5 points to lead Southeast to road victories at Murray State (Jan. 26) and Austin Peay (Jan. 28). He scored 23 points against the Racers and 22 against the Governors.
