HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Southeast Missouri women's basketball (3-4) defeated Alcorn State (0-5) Saturday 68-50 to wrap up play at the Southern Miss Thanksgiving Classic.

Hannah Noe tied a season-high 18 points in the contest. Noe shot 6-of-9 from the field including hitting four 3-pointers and going 2-of-3 from the line. Noe earned all-tournament team honors for her performance this weekend, averaging 16.0 points per game in the tournament.Â

For the first time this season,
Olivia Hackmann was held to single-digit points, finishing with nine points and pulling in six rebounds.
Deja Jones nearly missed a double-double, ending the game with nine rebounds and eight points.
Adrianna Murphy also had eight points while dishing out six assists.

Southeast shot 26-of-59 (44.1%) from the field including hitting eight 3-pointers. The Redhawks drained 8-of-11 free-throws in the game. The Redhawk defense held Alcorn State to a sub-30 shooting percentage.

The Redhawks quickly jumped out to a 9-3 lead on the Lady Braves and continued to widen the lead in the opening quarter. Southeast led Alcorn State 22-13 after the first quarter.

Noe highlighted the quarter with nine points including converting a rare 4-point play after being fouled while draining a 3-pointer. She was responsible for SEMO's final seven points of the quarter.

After hot shooting in the first quarter, the second was slow on both ends as SEMO won the frame, 10-7. The only point in the first three and a half minutes came when
Bri Mitchell split free-throws to begin the frame. Alcorn was able to pull within five points of SEMO at 25-20 but went scoreless the final 5:05. Southeast finished the first half on a 7-0 run to lead the Lady Braves 32-20 at half.

Noe had 12 points in the first half to lead the Redhawks. Jones recorded eight points and eight rebounds in the half.

Alcorn opened the third quarter cutting the Southeast lead to eight. A 15-3 run opened a 21-point lead for the Redhawks, its largest of the game. Southeast finished the third quarter out in front 52-33.

Southeast's 21-point lead was almost decimated when the Lady Braves came out hot in the fourth quarter. A 15-2 run sliced SEMO's lead to eight, 56-48 with under four minutes to play.

A couple 3-pointers by Noe and a pair of made jumpers by
Mandy Madden reopened an 18-point lead coming down the homestretch. Southeast held on for the 68-50 victory.

Mitchell finished with seven points, passing out a team-best seven assists and pulling in five rebounds.

A day after making her NCAA debut, freshman
Jessie Harshberger recorded her first collegiate points on Saturday, finishing with four points and four rebounds.

Henrietta Wells and Tia Sanders each had 16 points while Miracle Rushing had 16 rebounds for the Lady Braves.

Southeast Missouri will return to the Show Me Center to open a three-game homestand Tuesday against Saint Louis University. Tipoff is scheduled from 6:30 p.m.Â
