A Look at What's Ahead
The Redhawks' road stretch continues over the Thanksgiving holiday when Southeast will travel south to Hattiesburg, Mississippi for the Southern Miss Lady Eagle Thanksgiving Classic. Southeast will play Louisiana-Lafayette on Nov. 25 before facing either host Southern Miss or Alcorn State in the second round. The Redhawks will be back at home in the Show Me Center to host in-state foe Saint Louis on Nov. 29.

Scouting Evansville
The Purple Aces have gotten off to a slow start, beginning the season 0-3. UE is 0-2 at home with losses to Cleveland State (62-66) and Eastern Illinois (63-73). The Purple Aces went on the road and fell at Ball State (49-84) on Wednesday. Sara Dickey is the team leader in scoring with 15.3 points per game. Sasha Robinson leads the Purple Aces in rebounding with nine boards a game. Assists have been low for UE this season with no individual averaging more than 2.7 assists per game through three games. UE was 3-28 overall last season with a 1-17 clip in The Valley.

Series History
Southeast leads the all-time series with the Purple Aces, 4-3. It has been some time since these teams have met, the last being in the WNIT in Evansville in 2008. Southeast lost the postseason game, 60-58. The all-time series dates back to Jan. 28, 1980. SEMO won the first ever meeting on the road, 70-68. Prior to the WNIT meeting, the last meeting was Jan. 3, 1994 (SEMO 88-61). Prior to that, Nov. 26, 1991 was the first DI meeting. UE was Southeast's second ever opponent in its Division I era. Southeast fell, 65-63. In Evansville, SEMO is 1-3 all-time.

Looking Back
Southeast Missouri fell to Xavier in its first road game on Friday, 54-48. The low-scoring affair saw neither team score more than 20 points in a single quarter. Southeast was led in scoring by Bri Mitchell with 11 points. Olivia Hackmann picked up her third double-double of the season on Friday, recording 10 points and 11 rebounds. Mandy Madden worked a season-high 12 rebounds, 10 of which came in the first half of the contest. Madden also tied a season-high three blocked shots. Adrianna Murphy did a little bit of everything in Friday's game. The sophomore point guard had five points, four rebounds, seven assists with no turnovers, and five steals. She played a team-high 34 minutes. As a team, the Redhawks were outshot, 34.6 percent to 30.4 percent. Each team only hit three 3-pointers, shooting 25 percent from beyond the arc. One of the biggest difference makers in the game came at the free-throw line. Southeast got to the line only seven times while Xavier went 29 times. The Musketeers made 15 of their 29 free-throw attempts while the Redhawks made only three.

How May We Assist?
Sophomore point guard Adrianna Murphy currently leads the country with 37 assists this season. Her 9.3 assists per game ranks third. Additionally, Bri Mitchell's 25 assists ranks fifth nationally. As a team, the Redhawks rank third in the nation with 77 assists.

Seeing Double-Double
Redshirt-senior Olivia Hackmann is currently in a four-way tie for the national lead in double-doubles this season with three. She has recorded a double-double in each of the three games she has played this season, averaging 18.3 points and 11 rebounds a game, marks that leads the team in both categories.

adidas® OVC Player of the Week
Redshirt-senior Olivia Hackmann was named the adidas® OVC Player of the Week, the league announced Tuesday morning. Hackmann drained a career-high 29 points in Southeast's season opener against Cincinnati on Friday. She went 12-for-19 from the field, which was also a career best. Hackmann hit a trio of 3-pointers en route to her career night. Additionally, she pulled in 12 rebounds to record her first career double-double. The Chamois, Missouri native's 29 points was the most by a Redhawk in a single game since Sonya Daugherty put up 31 against Murray State on Feb. 19, 2009. This is Hackmann's first OVC weekly honor as she becomes the first Player of the Week since her former teammate Patricia Mack earned the honor on Feb. 25, 2014.
