Game Notes for Illinois State SeriesCAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – The Southeast Missouri baseball team has added a midweek game against Alcorn State Thursday. First pitch between the Redhawks and Braves is set for 5 p.m.
Garret Stockton will get the start for the Redhawks against Alcorn.
The Redhawks are making the stop in Lorman, Mississippi on their way to Lake Charles, Louisiana to play a three-game series with Illinois State.
The Redhawks and Redbirds were originally scheduled to play the three-game series in Cape Girardeau. The Cape area received a significant amount of snow early in the week, forcing the series to be moved to a neutral site down South.
Southeast and Illinois State are slated to play at 7 p.m. Friday and a doubleheader on Saturday beginning at 3 p.m.
The teams may have to face inclement weather in Lake Charles as there is rain in the forecast Friday and Saturday.
