@GoSoutheastAbout Southeast: The defending Midwest Independent Conference champion Redhawks are averaging a total score of 193.142 during the first three meets of the 2015 season, which is the highest ranking of all MIC programs. Southeast posted season-highs during the final two events last Friday at Oklahoma with scores of 48.825 on vault and 48.725 on uneven bars. The vault total tied for the 10
th-best in program history.
Alexis Brawner posted the highest individual score of the season for Southeast with a 9.850 while
Alyssa Tucker set a career-best with a 9.800 on vault.

Three Straight MIC Weekly Honors: Southeast athletes have been named MIC Gymnast of the Week following the first three meets.
Alyssa Tucker has received the award in two consecutive weeks while fellow sophomore
Ashley Thomas earned recognition following the season opener.

Tucker Taking Hold: Alyssa Tucker ranks 41
st nationally in the all-around with an average score of 39.000. She set a career-best with a 39.125 as she claimed the all-around title at No. 1 Oklahoma's tri-meet with Texas Woman's last Friday.

Complete Student-Athletes: Southeast posted the nation's 3rd-best grade point average with a 3.696 cumulative team total during the 2013-14 school year. The Redhawks have had a GPA ranking in the top three nationally for seven straight years, including five academic national titles (2007-09, 2011, 2013) and two second-place finishes (2010, 2012).

Sarah Shire Brown was a four-time All-American gymnast at Missouri in just three seasons with the Tigers. She was named the Big 12 Newcomer of the Year in 2008, Gymnast of the Year in 2009 and 2010 and South Central Regional Gymnast of the Year in 2009 and 2010. She also spent one year as Mizzou's Director of Operations and served as a career coach, summer camp coordinator and sport psychology intern for the Tigers. She earned two degrees from Mizzou, receiving her bachelor's in Interdisciplinary Studies in 2010 and master's in Counseling Psychology in 2012.

Southeast Director of Athletics
Mark Alnutt was previously a Senior Associate Director of Athletics at Mizzou. Among his numerous duties in Columbia, Alnutt supervised the Tigers gymnastics program and chaired the NCAA Women's Gymnastics Committee. He oversaw the design of the new Golden Girls/Gymnastics practice facility in 2011.

Alnutt was a member of the Missouri football team from 1993-95 and received his bachelor's and master's degrees from Mizzou prior to beginning his professional career in the athletics department that spanned 1998-2012 before joining Southeast.
