Back at Home
Southeast Missouri (9-11, 3-4) returns home to host SIU Edwardsville (8-11, 4-4) in Ohio Valley Conference action Thursday. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m., CT, at the Show Me Center.

January Winds Down
Southeast closes out the month of January with a home matchup with SIU Edwardsville (Jan. 29) and road trip to Austin Peay (Jan. 31) this week. The Redhawks are currently 3-4 this month. One more win would give Southeast its most victories in a month this season.

Halfway Point
The Redhawks reach the halfway point of their Ohio Valley Conference season when they square off against SIU Edwardsville Thursday. SIUE (4-4) and Southeast (3-4) are presently fourth and fifth in the OVC West Division, respectively.

Bradley Returns
Southeast played without its leading scorer, Jarekious Bradley, at UT Martin (Jan. 24). Bradley did not make the trip after missing a class last Friday. He will be back with the Redhawks when they host SIU Edwardsville Thursday.  

Home Record
The Redhawks are 6-3 at the Show Me Center this season. Southeast has won nine of its last 13 home games dating back to the 2013-14 campaign.

Series History
The Redhawks own a 15-6 lead in their all-time series against SIU Edwardsville. Southeast is 6-2 against the Cougars under head coach Dickey Nutt. Nutt is 4-0 against SIUE at the Show Me Center. Overall, the Redhawks are 10-1 versus the Cougars on their homecourt. The only time SIUE beat Southeast in Cape Girardeau was Dec. 31, 2008 (70-69).

Chasing 1,000
Jarekious Bradley and Nino Johnson are both chasing 1,000 career points. Bradley (876) needs 124 more to hit that mark, while Johnson (874) is 126 points away. So far, Dickey Nutt has had two 1,000-point scorers as Southeast's head coach. Tyler Stone (2011-14) ranks fifth all-time in school history with 1,546 points and Marland Smith (2009-13) ranks seventh with 1,423.

Redhawks Fall at UT Martin
Southeast suffered its largest lost in Ohio Valley Conference play to date when it fell, 70-53, at UT Martin (Jan. 24). The loss ended the Redhawks two-game winning streak. UTM used a late 11-0 run to pull away from Southeast. The Redhawks missed four field goals, turned the ball over once and went scoreless for a little over four minutes in that stretch.

Jones Nets Season-High
Isiah Jones scored a game and season-high 21 points at UT Martin (Jan. 24). Jones made four of his first five baskets and scored 10 points in the first 5:10 of the game en route to his second 20-point effort this year. He shot 61.5 percent (8-of-13) from the field and 57.1 percent (4-of-7) from three-point range, while dishing out three assists and getting two steals in 36 minutes against the Skyhawks.

Cleveland Sees Doubles
Antonius Cleveland notched his11th double-digit scoring game this season when he turned in 11 at UT Martin (Jan. 24). Cleveland shot 5-of-11 from the field, knocked down a three and pulled down three rebounds in 30 minutes. It was his first double figure scoring game since Jan. 3.

Board Certified
The Redhawks outrebounded their opponent in four of their last six contests. Southeast  is 8-1 in games when it outrebounds its opponent this season.

Johnson Among Block Leaders
Nino Johnson recorded four blocks in his last start at UT Martin (Jan. 24), and as a result, ran his team-high total to 45 this season. Johnson, who ranks only one block behind Austin Peay's Chris Horton (46), stands 33rd in the nation in total blocks. He has led Southeast in blocks 12 times this season and finished with three or more on 11 of those occasions.

Bradley Third in the Nation in Free Throw Percentage
Jarekious Bradley leads the Ohio Valley Conference and ranks third in  the nation in free throw percentage. Bradley is a near-perfect 24-of-25 at the charity strip in conference play. Overall, he has missed only four free throws this season, knocking down 52-of-56 attempts for 92.9 percent.

Langford Logs Quality Minutes
Josh Langford scored a combined 14 points of the bench over his last two contests. Langford dropped in five points, grabbed two rebounds and had a pair of steals in 15 minutes against Tennessee Tech (Jan. 17). A week later, he scored nine points in 22 minutes at UT Martin. Langford is averaging just under six points per game (5.9) this season.

About SIU Edwardsville
SIU Edwardsville comes to Cape Girardeau after losing three of its last four games. The Cougars, who are 8-11 overall and 4-4 in the Ohio Valley Conference, recently lost to Murray State, 60-54, Jan. 24. SIUE is 0-8 on the road, presently one of three OVC teams without a road win this year. The Cougars rank second in the league in three-point field goal percentage (.381) and blocked shots (80, 4.4 bpg). Kris Davis is among the OVC's top-10 scoring leaders. Davis ranks seventh with 14.7 points a game. Meanwhile, Keaton Jackson is second in the OVC in field goal percentage with a .633 clip. Jackson is third in the conference with 41 blocks, as well.
