Southeast Missouri Rematch in Southern IllinoisThe Redhawks and Salukis will rematch Tuesday, this time in Carbondale, Ill. First pitch is scheduled for 5 p.m.

Looking BackThe Redhawks are coming off a 3-1 week. Southeast won a non-conference game on the road at Saint Louis Tuesday, 6-2. The Redhawks returned home for a three-game series with OVC opponent Eastern Illinois. The Redhawks took game one 7-5 followed by a series win in game two, 11-7. Eastern Illinois avoided the sweep in game three, downing the Redhawks 10-3.
OVC Player of the Week Once AgainMatt Tellor was named Ohio Valley Conference Co-Player of the Week, the league announced Monday. It seemed as though all Tellor did this week was manufacture runs. Besides scoring seven runs, he also drove in seven. He blasted two solo home runs and had four sacrifice flies on the week. He started 0-for-1 at Saint Louis but had two sac flies and scored after drawing a walk. In game one against Eastern Illinois, his one hit came on a home run and he scored three times in the game. In game two, he went 2-for-3 with a home run and four RBI, and two sac flies. He was 2-for-4 in the series finale Saturday. Tellor hit .455 (5-for-11) and slugged 1.091% on the week with a .444 on base percentage. Tellor is also sporting a 17-game on base streak.
Hurts So GoodJason Blum is quickly catching up to Trenton Moses for being hit by a pitch in the span of a career. The record, held by Moses, is 49, while Blum, a junior, has been clunked 45 times, second in the career standings.
Cole Bieser is also rising the in the ranks of earning a bruise as he is now ranked fifth with 26. Blum and Bieser are tied for the team lead with 13 this season.
Speed RacersThe Redhawks have made their presence on the base paths known this season. Southeast leads the OVC in stolen bases as a team with 74. 16 more than Jacksonville State, who has the second most. As of Monday, the Redhawks' 74 stolen bags is the sixth-best in the nation.
Jason Blum ranks second in the league with 18. Bieser is also one stolen base away from cracking the career stolen bases list.

Christian Hull broke the top-ten in career appearances list with 56 in his three-year career thus far. The record is 76 appearances set by Jason Swearingen.
Statistical RankingsAs of Monday, April 21, the Redhawks' .312 team batting average ranks tenth in the nation. The Redhawks have turned the second-most double plays (48) in the nation. Southeast is the eighth-highest run producing team in the country with 296 runs while Southeast ranks seventh in scoring (7.6 runs/game). The team .431 slugging percentage is ranked 14th. The Redhawks are also ranked sixth in stolen bases (74). The Redhawks lead the country in sacrifice flies with 31.
Matt Tellor is tied for fifth with Zach Stephens from Tennessee Tech for most home runs with 11. He is also tied for third in the nation with seven sacrifice flies, four of which came this week while
Derek Gibson (49) is ranked fifth in RBI and Tellor is sixth with 48. Gibson also ranks seventh in sacrifice flies with seven this season.
What's on Tap? Southeast will make the long haul to Jacksonville, Ala. for an OVC series with the Jacksonville State Gamecocks, who currently sit in third place in the league. Jacksonville was second in the OVC prior to last weekend but fell to third after being swept by Tennessee Tech, who moved in to third-place. The Redhawks will then head to Columbia, Mo. for a showdown with in-state SEC rival Missouri on Tuesday.
