Setting the Table
The Southeast Missouri baseball team hosts Ohio Valley Conference leader Tennessee Tech in the Redhawks Ohio Valley Conference regular season finale this weekend at Capaha Field. Friday's action will be a Redhawks Baseball Tailgate starting at 5:00 p.m (Buffalo Wild Wings and River Eagle Distributing). Saturday's action will start at 5:00 p.m. as well with Sunday's action will bring another Redhawks Baseball Tailgate (Cape Girardeau Elks Lodge and Cape Girardeau Noon Lion Club) at 1:00 p.m.

Redhawks Against Golden Eagles
The Redhawks hold a 44-24-1 record all-time against the Golden Eagles. The Redhawks won two of three games from TTU last season at Capaha Field on April 20-22. The Redhawks have take six of the last nine meeting between the two teams at Capaha Field dating back to 2008 as they have taking two of three games in every series.

Capital One Academic All-District
Southeast Missouri baseball players Jason Blum, Derek Gibson and Dalton Hewitt were named Capital One Academic All-District ® Thursday afternoon by the College Sports Information Directors of America. The honor recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom.

No Double Trouble
Southeast Missouri hit their 100th double of the season on Sunday at Murray State as the Redhawks lead the Ohio Valley Conference on the season. The Redhawks also lead the OVC with 56 doubles during conference play. Sophomore Jason Blum leads the Redhawks this season with 17 doubles as he is tied for the OVC lead. Andy Lennington is tied for ninth in the OVC with 14 doubles on the season. The Redhawks have five players with double-digit doubles on the season.

Moving On Up
Southeast Missouri senior Tony Zerrusen made his 25th appearances of the season on Sunday at Murray State earning his first win of the season. Zerrusen is tied for seventh in single-season appearances in Southeast history. Senior Bobby Hurst made his 24th appearance on Sunday as well moving to eighth in single season appearances.

Going Streaking
Jason Blum extended his reaching base safely streak to 26 games last weekend at Murray State. The last time the redshirt sophomore did not reach base was March 22 at Morehead State. Blum has also reached base in 46 of his 49 games played this season.

Hurts So good
Southeast's Jason Blum set the single season hit-by-pitch record against EIU as he was plunked twice as he has recorded 21 on the season. He also moved to second all-time at Southeast with 30 in his career. He leads the OVC this season and ranks fourth in NCAA.

Preseason OVC Polls
The Southeast Missouri Baseball team was picked eighth in the Ohio Valley Conference Preseason Poll. Austin Peay, the OVC Co-Regular season and tournament champions in back-to-back seasons were picked to win the league with 14 first place votes. Southeast Missouri junior left fielder Derek Gibson was named Preseason All-OVC after earning First-Team All-OVC last season by the coaches and sports information directors in the OVC.
