JACKSON, Tenn. – Southeast Missouri committed five errors as top seeded Tennessee Tech capitalized on the Redhawks' miscues picking up a 5-1 win Thursday night in the winners bracket of the Ohio Valley Conference tournament at the Ballpark in Jackson in Jackson, Tenn. The Redhawks return to action in an elimination game on Friday morning at 11:00 a.m. against Belmont.

The Redhawks move to 25-32 on the season as TTU is now 40-15 on the season, the most wins in TTU history.
Southeast starter
Trevor Kill gave the Redhawks a great start going 4.2 innings allowing four runs (one earned).
Reliever
Skylar Cobb was solid in relief with a career-high six strikeouts as he went 3.1 innings allowing an earned run on two hits.
Tennessee Tech starter Tristian Archer tied an OVC record with his 55
th career start as he went 8.1 innings allowing one run on seven hits with six strikeouts.
Neither team could manage to get on the board until the fourth inning as the Golden Eagles pushed across a run on a failed double play attempt to make it 1-0 TTU.
Tennessee Tech added to their lead in the bottom of the fifth with three unearned runs as they scored their runs on a miss played fly ball by the Redhawks.
An RBI double by Dylan Bosheers and an RBI single James Abraham highlighted the frame.
The Redhawks got on the board in the top of the sixth inning to make it 4-1 as Blum scored on a fielders choice that saw
Matt Tellor out at first. Blum reached on a double, his 21
st of the season before scoring the run.
Tennessee Tech extended their lead to 5-1 in the bottom of the frame on an RBI single to centerfield by Zach Stephens.
The Redhawks threatened in the top of the ninth inning with two runners on base with one out. But All-OVC Second Team closer Seth Lucio came in and got the save as Tech took their OVC Tournament opener 5-1.
The Redhawks were led by Jason and
Nolan Fisher as they each added a pair of hits for Southeast.
Dalton Hewitt extended his hitting streak to 10-games with a single in the contest.
Stephens and Bosheers each added a pair of hits with a run scored and RBI to lead the Golden Eagles.
Southeast will face Belmont in an elimination game at 11:00 a.m. Friday afternoon at the Ballpark at Jackson. If the Redhawks win they will face Eastern Kentucky at 3:00 p.m.
