Setting the Table
The Southeast Missouri baseball team wraps up their five game home stand on Tuesday as they host regional rival Arkansas State as the two teams wrap up their season series at 5:00 p.m. at Capaha Field. Tuesday's game will be webcasted at KFVS12.com.

Redhawks Against Arkansas State
The Red Wolves own a 31-29 record in the all-time series against the Redhawks. Southeast and Arkansas State split their season home and home series last year with each team winning at home. The Red Wolves downed the Redhawks 9-8 earlier this season in Jonesboro, Ark.

First Meeting
Southeast Missouri baseball team's comeback effort fell short as the Redhawks fell 9-8 to regional rival Arkansas State April 2 at Tomlinson Stadium in Jonesboro, Ark. in a three and a half hour contest. Junior Matt Tellor led the Redhawks going 3-for-5 with two doubles and a triple to go along with two RBI and a run scored. Freshman Clayton Evans was 2-for-2 with an RBI and two runs scored as he reached base four times in the contest.

Going Streaking
Derek Gibson moved his hitting streak to 17-games over the weekend. Gibson also moved his batting average to .380 as he now leads the Ohio Valley Conference. He has hit .435 during the streak with  30-for-69 at the plate.

Jason Blum extended his hitting streak to 11-games over the weekend. The sophomore has recorded 17 hits in the stretch and has recorded six doubles and eight RBI. Blum has also recorded an on-base percentage of .491 in his last 11 games.

OVC Leader
Southeast Missouri leads the OVC in hits on the season with 368. The Redhawks recorded 48 hits last week and 132 in the last three and a half weeks.

Preseason OVC Polls
The Southeast Missouri Baseball team was picked eighth in the Ohio Valley Conference Preseason Poll. Austin Peay, the OVC Co-Regular season and tournament champions in back-to-back seasons were picked to win the league with 14 first place votes. Southeast Missouri junior left fielder Derek Gibson was named Preseason All-OVC after earning First-Team All-OVC last season by the coaches and sports information directors in the OVC.
