JACKSONVILLE, Ala. - Southeast Missouri (2-5, 0-3) dropped its third-straight match with a 7-0 loss to Jacksonville State (8-8, 3-0) Wednesday.
In singles action, Heather Robinson fell, 6-3, 6-1, to Raisa Guasti in No. 1, while Elizabeth Nyenwe lost 6-1, 6-4 to Raphaela Lima at No. 2. Nikole Novikova was defeated, 6-1, 6-1, by Olivia Nguyen at No. 3 and Jessica Courtnell lost to Zoe Bizinos, 6-3, 6-2, at No. 4. Melissa Martin and Sarah Uptmor came up short at the No. 5 and No. 6 positions, respectively.
Novikova and Robinson were defeated by Guasti and Lima, 8-3, in No. 1 doubles. Nguyen and and Bizinos then beat Nyenwe and Lauren Schaper, 8-6, at No. 2. Courtnell and Martin rounded out doubles competition with an 8-3 win over Taylor Lefton and Aleksandra Cmilijic at No. 3.
Southeast heads to Austin Peay on Mar. 29.
