NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Southeast Missouri baseball team dropped their series finale with Belmont 6-2 Sunday afternoon at R.S. Park in Nashville, Tenn. The Redhawks drop to 9-8 overall and 1-2 in the Ohio Valley Conference as the Bruins improve to 11-4 overall and 2-1 in the OVC.

The Redhawks left 10 runners on-base as the Bruins outhit Southeast 11-7 in the contest.

The Bruins jumped out to a 5-0 lead on the Redhawks after four innings. Belmont added a run in the first inning and tacked on four runs in the bottom of the fourth inning.

The four-run fourth inning was highlighted by a three-run triple down the right field line from catcher Jamie Ritchie.

The Redhawks got on the board with a pair of runs in the top of the fifth inning. Matt Tellor opened the Redhawks' scoring with an RBI double that was hammered down the left field line. Andy Lennington extended the inning with a single to right field.

Branden Boggetto delivered another RBI for his sixth of the series with an RBI double down the left field line to cut the Belmont lead to 5-2. Dalton Hewitt ended the inning with a fly ball to the warning track that halted the Southeast rally.
