Prep: Started and lettered all four seasons behind the plate for West Plains High School and head coach James Sharp…He was a first team all-state selection two times in his career, an all-conference selection all four years, and a two-time academic all-conference selection at West Plains…He finished his career just three RBIs away from the all-time Missouri State Record…During his senior year, his team was the first team in program history to start a season 17-0…He took part in the ‘Futures Game’ ahead of his collegiate career.
 
Personal: The son of Brandon and Heather Sims…Tank bats left and throws right and plays catcher defensively…He played every position on the field in one game…He is currently undecided on his major at Southeast.
