2014: Appeared in 15 games in 2014... Earned starts as the designated hitter in two contests... Had 17 at bats on the season... Also saw time at first base... Southeast Scholar-Athlete. 

2013: Started 38 games as Southeast’s designated hitter his sophomore campaign... Saw action in a total of 45 games... Hit for .268 in 142 at bats while hitting 38 hits... Posted a .366 on base percentage... Legged out eight doubles and slugged one home run over the fence... In the game he hit his singular home run, Barnes also drove in five RBI against the Panthers of Eastern Illinois (4/20)... Recorded two or more hits in a total of 12 games with two or more RBI coming in six... Southeast Scholar-Athlete and member of the OVC Commissioner’s Honor Roll.

2012: Named to the Ohio Valley Conference All-Freshman Team… Appeared in 49 games primarily as a designated hitter with 40 starts… Hit .248 on the season recording four home runs and 24 RBI in 137 at-bats… Also recorded nine doubles on the season and 19 walks… Recorded his first career home run in his first collegiate at-bat at Dallas Baptist on February 17… Recorded a career-high three RBI against Hannibal-LaGrange on February 28 in a contest where he was 3-for-3 with home run… Recorded a career-high four hits against Eastern Kentucky on April 7 going 4-for-5.

Prep: Graduate of St. John Vianney High School in St. Louis… First Team All-Conference selection  and Second Team All-State honoree during his senior campaign… Was also named to St. Louis Post-Dispatch All-Metro team as a senior… Hit .418 with eight home runs and 30 RBI’s during senior season leading his team to a Third Place finish in the State Tournament… During his junior season hit .433 with two home runs and 30 RBI’s.
