Kirkwood CC: Began his collegiate baseball career at Kirkwood Community College for head coach Todd Rima…In six games pitched, he accumulated a 3-1 record with 28 strikeouts for a 10.22 strikeouts-per-nine-innings mark…He recorded a 4.38 ERA and surrendered just 10 walks at Kirkwood…He won the ICCAC Pitcher of the Week and Kirkwood won the ICCAC Conference Championship. 
 
Prep: Started and lettered all four seasons at Rockford High School on the mound for head coach Clay Eustice…Was a first team all-conference, all-district, and a second team all-state selection during his high school career…He was a four-sport athlete, competing on the football field, basketball court, and golf course at Rockford…He was a first team all-conference basketball selection…He was a member of National Honor Society and was an honor roll student in high school. 
 
Personal: The son of Russ and Erin Lyman…Kolton intends on studying accounting at Southeast.
