Southeast Missouri State University Athletics

2013: Played in 33 games, started seven... Started five games at second base, one in right field, and one as the designated hitter... Saw 35 at bats on the season... Recorded eight hits and scored seven runs with three RBI... Southeast Scholar Athlete and member of the OVC Commissioner’s Honor Roll. 

2012: Appeared in 33 games with 16 starts in his first season with the Redhawks… Saw action in the outfield and at second base recording six starts at second base and 10 in right field… Recorded 72 at-bats with 15 hits and 14 runs… Recorded one home run while also adding three doubles and one triple as he finished the season with eight RBI… Recorded his first career home run against IPFW on March 26… Also recorded a career-high three runs in the contest against IPFW on March 26… Was 2-for-3 with two runs scored against Harris-Stowe on February 21… Was 2-for-5 with two RBI and a run scored against New Mexico State on March 17.

Olney Central College: Played one season at Olney Central College… In 124 at-bats in 2011 he hit .298 with eight doubles and 20 RBI’s… Also scored 26 runs… Excelled in the classroom earning GRAC All-Academic team honors and NJCAA Superior Academic Achievement.

Prep: Graduate of North Clay High School … During his high school career he blasted 28 home runs with 155 RBI’s… During his time at North Clay he hit .425 with 63 doubles and 167 runs scored and 103 stolen bases… Also participated in basketball… Excelled in the classroom as part of the National Honor Society.

Personal: Son of Johnny and Shelly Zink… Born on November 15, 1990… Married the former Kaitlin Wallace in July 2012... Graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2013, now pursuing a graduate degree in Higher Education.
