2011: Named to the Pre-season All-OVC Team...

2010: Made 21 appearances on the mound as a true freshman... reeled in Ping!Baseball Freshman All-American 3^rd Team honors, Louisville Slugger Freshman All-American Team, Ohio Valley Conference Freshman of the Year, and 1^st team All-OVC... compiled a 3.20 ERA, with 5 saves in 39.1 innings... finished with 43 strikeouts, giving up just 23 hits, and only 6 extra-base hits... owned a 3-3 record, taking 2 of those losses in his last 2 appearances of the season... longest outing was on March 5 against Mississippi State in which he went 5 innings...gave up 2 hits, while striking out 6 batters in that game, but did not factor in the decision... held opponents to a dismal .153 batting average...

As a Prep: Played shortstop and pitcher for nearby Scott City High School...Helped lead his team to a State Championship in 2008...All-Scott Mississippi Conference honoree in 2008 and 2009...Garnered All-District honors and made the All-Southeast Missourian Team three times...Two-time First-Team All-State pick...Struck out 12 in six innings during the State Championship game...Played four years as a guard on the basketball team.
