Joe Hall of Southeast Missouri Baseball was named Ohio Valley Conference 'Player of the Week', the league announced on Monday morning.
Hall, who joined the Redhawks this season from Adams State, helped lead the Redhawks to a 3-1 week last week including a Tuesday victory over Southern Illinois and a weekend series win against SIUE in Cape Girardeau.
He finished the week going 8-17 at the plate for a .471 batting average. He recorded a pair of doubles, three home runs, and six RBIs. He recorded a 1.118 slugging-percentage and a .471 on-base percentage.
In Friday's 10-3 victory over SIUE, Hall hammered a pair of home runs in the same game for the second time this season. He last achieved that back on March 10 against Missouri State in Cape Girardeau.
On the season, Hall has started in all 44 games primarily as the Redhawks' designate hitter and secondarily in left field. He enters this week with a .361 batting average, 11 home runs, 44 RBIs, and 14 doubles.
