Redhawks Host Tennessee Tech on Senior Day in Regular Season Finale
Southeast Missouri Women's Basketball (11-17, 7-12 OVC) will play its final regular season game on Saturday, February 28, when they host Tennessee Tech (14-13, 8-11 OVC) inside the Show Me Center. Tip-off is set for 1:30 p.m., CT. in Cape Girardeau.

Series History
The Redhawks and Golden Eagles will play in the 65th meeting of all-time against one another on Saturday afternoon and for the second time this season. The two teams opened OVC play against one another this season, in Cookeville, resulting in a 79-66 TTU win. The Golden Eagles hold a 41-23 series advantage, with the Redhawks' last victory coming back in the 2020-21 campaign with a 59-55 victory in Cape Girardeau.

Senior Day
Three Redhawk seniors will be recognized before what will be their final regular season game in Cape Girardeau. Guards Lexi McCully, Raissa Nsabua, and Carmen Taylor will each be honored for their contributions to SEMO Women's Basketball.

Thursday Night Dub
The Redhawks picked up their seventh OVC victory of the season on Thursday night, dismantling Tennessee State by a final score of 89-52 at the Show Me Center. Five Redhawks scored in double figures led by sophomore Kearra Jones who scored 20 points on 9-9 shooting. Carmen Taylor (16), Lexi McCully (15), Da'Kariya Jackson (11), and Raissa Nsabua (10) rounded out the top scorers of the night. The Redhawks shot an impressive 56-percent from the field (33-59), 50-percent from three (9-18), and held TSU to just 34-percent shooting for the game.

Three-Game Streak
The Redhawks have now won three games in a row for the second time under head coach Briley Palmer after their win against Tennessee State. SEMO has now defeated UT Martin, Little Rock, and Tennessee State marking the first three-game winning streak against DI opponents in the Palmer Era. SEMO defeated SIUE, William Woods, and TSU in Palmer's first season.

Most Points
SEMO cruised to its most points in a game against a Division I opponent all season on Thursday night. Coming into the game, the Redhawks highest point total in division I games came against Tennessee State in Nashville (12/20) when they scored 72 points. The Redhawks 89 points is their third highest total all season behind 91 points against William Woods (12/30) and 116 against Harris-Stowe (12/3).

Looking Around the League
Heading into the final game of the 2025-26 regular season, the Redhawks sit at 7-12 in the Ohio Valley Conference and are tied with SIUE for the eighth and final spot in the OVC Tournament. The Redhawks, who take on Tennessee Tech Saturday, need SIUE to lose at home against Eastern Illinois and defeat Tennessee Tech for their clearest path to a tournament berth.

What a Shooting Night
The Redhawks were incredibly efficient from the field in last night's contest as they finished 33-59 from the field, shooting 56-percent. The percentage is their second-highest field goal percentage of the season coming in just behind a 59.2-percent performance at Eastern Illinois (1/30) earlier this season.

Dominant off the Pine
SEMO Women's Basketball has been getting great production off their bench over this three-game winning streak. SEMO outscored TSU's bench by a 25-8 tilt, including 15 points from Lexi McCully and seven points from Ainaya Williams and Zoey Rixter. Freshman Addison Tarr and Noelani Dunn each contributed two and one points, respectively.

Not in Our House
The Redhawks did a great job of protecting the rim in the victory last night as they recorded eight blocked shots as a squad. Kearra Jones (2), Raissa Nsabua (2), and Zoey Rixter (2) each recorded multiple blocks while Da'Kariya Jackson and Ainaya Williams each turned in a single block. Eight blocks in a game are the most this season for the Redhawks.

Give Us the Ball
SEMO turned up the heat on defense last night including recording 17 steals as a team. Senior Lexi McCully lead the team with six steals which is the most in a single game against a DI opponent this season. Raissa Nsabua (4), Zoey Rixter (3), and Carmen Taylor (2) all had multiple steals in the contest. The 17 steals total marked the most as a team in a game this season against a DI opponent.

Season/Career-High
Sophomore Kearra Jones had a career night last night against Tennessee State. Jones scored 20 points on 9-9 shooting, both of which tied career-highs dating back to her time at Mississippi Valley State (2024-25). Jones' 20 points marks her season-high and career-high in a SEMO uniform and her nine made field goals does the same. Jones has back-to-back games with double-digit points and is averaging 9.1 PPG this season.

Tied It
Senior Da'Kariya Jackson had a season-high night last night from behind the three-point line. Jackson, a native of Jacksonville, Arkansas, shot 3-6 from three-point range which marked her second game this season with three, three pointers. The performance is her second in the last three games with three triples as she is shooting 28-percent from behind the arc.

Great Night
Graduate Carmen Taylor had a great night offensively for the Redhawks. Taylor scored 16 points on 5-12 shooting (41.7%) and was an impressive 4-7 from three-point range (57.1%). Taylor leads the Redhawks in scoring at 12.8 PPG and is shooting 70-percent at the free throw line.

Point God
Raissa Nsabua turned in an efficient 10 point, six rebound, and six assist night against Tennessee State in just 27 minutes of action. Nsabua pushed her point total to 211 this season, including a 7.8 PPG average. Nsabua's six assists last night is the most she has had in the last 10 games.
