Gymhawks Head to Illinois State for Valentine's Day Meet
Southeast Missouri Gymnastics (9-4) will return to the road after two-straight home meets on Saturday, February 14, at Illinois State. The competition is slated to begin at 6 p.m., CT. from CEFCU Arena in Normal, Illinois.

Third Meeting
Saturday's competition marks the third meeting of 2026 between the Redhawks and Redbirds as SEMO has taken the first two competitions so far. SEMO defeated ISU by a 193.350-192.300 mark at the Windy City Invite (Jan. 16) before defeating them in Cape Girardeau with a 194.500-194.025. Saturday's meet will be the final regular season meeting between the squads until the 2026 MIC Championship meet (Mar. 20).

Season-High Friday
SEMO Gymnastics recorded their highest score of the season with a 194.850 at the SEMO Quad-Meet last Friday night inside Houck Field House to win the event. The Gymhawks surpassed their previous season-high of 194.500 set just four days previous in Cape Girardeau. The Gymhawks got a strong showing from senior Taylor Ingle who scored a 39.150 in the all-around to capture the AA title. She also took home event titles on the vault (9.775), bars (9.825), and floor (9.875). Junior Leah Parton captured her first SEMO career event title with a 9.850 on the beam to help lead the Redhawks to their season high.

Gymnast of the Week
Senior Taylor Ingle was named MIC 'Gymnast of the Week', the league announced on Wednesday morning. Ingle had a dominating performance last Friday night at the SEMO Quad-Meet as she competed in her 20th-straight all-around competition dating back to 2025. Ingle, a Coppell, Texas-native, finished the meet with an event title in the all-around with a season-high 39.150.

She recorded a trio of event title victories on vault with a 9.775, bars (9.825), and floor (9.875) to lead the Gymhawks. Her 9.875 on floor matched her season-high from this season as she has hit back-to-back 9.875s on the floor in two-straight meets.

For Ingle, the award marks her third of the season in just five weeks of the 2026 regular season competition.

Coaches Choice
Junior Jordan Napolitano returned to the beam lineup for the first time this season after competing as an exhibitionist a week ago in Cape Girardeau. Napolitano, who battled injuries most of 2025, competed on the beam and recorded a 9.700 to finish tied for fifth place last Friday night.

Head coach Ashley Lawson on Jordan: "Jordan has done a tremendous job of battling through injuries and getting herself back into our lineup on beam. She has persevered and show the true spirit of a collegiate gymnast and me, and her teammates could not be prouder of her. I was thrilled to hear she won this award; it's a true testament to her work."

Crack the Top 50
SEMO Gymnastics returns to the competition scene ranked #50 in the country according to roadtonationals.com. In comparison to just a season ago, the Gymhawks finished the 2025 campaign ranked #58 in the country, moving up eight spots from the end of last season in just five meets in 2026. SEMO's best event comes on the beam as the beam lineup has led the program to the #44 beam lineup in the country.

In the 40s
SEMO Gymnastics ranks in the 40s in two different apparatuses so far this season. The Gymhawks rank 49th on the bars and 44th on the beam setting their second highest scores of the season on each apparatus last Friday night.

Team Beam
The Gymhawks best event comes from a strong beam routine through the first five weeks of the season. SEMO has scored a 48.000 or higher as a team on four-of-five attempts this season, including their season best 49.000 at the Windy City Invite. This past Friday, SEMO turned in their second highest beam score with a 48.850 led by Leah Parton (9.850).

Team Bars
The Gymhawks have performed well on the bars this year especially over the last two meets of the regular season. SEMO turned in their second-highest bars score of the season last Friday night with a 48.650, led by Taylor Ingle with a 9.825 event win.

Great Performance
Junior Jaidan Kossuth has been on fire over the last three meets on the vault, beam, and floor. Last Friday night, Kossuth improved her floor score for the third-straight week with a 9.825. She now has back-to-back floor performances of 9.800 or higher and has scores of 9.750 or higher in three-of-four meets. She turned in her second-hightest beam score (9.800) and scored her third-highest vault score (9.625) in the same meet.

Parton the Beam
Leah Parton has now competed in four meets this season in the beam lineup. The West Des Moines, Iowa-native has scored a 9.775 or higher in three-of-four meets including her highest-score of 9.850 coming last Friday night. Parton, who missed the lineup in the first meet of the season, has excelled in her new role and captured her first event title of her SEMO career last Friday.

Ai for an Eye
Senior Ailey Kuehn, who primarily sits in the vault and beam lineup for the Gymhawks, turned in her season-high on the vault last Friday. Kuehn, a native of Eagan, Minn., turned in a 9.700 surpassing her previous season best of a 9.675 earlier this season (1/23). Kuehn has scored 9.600 or higher on the vault four meets this season.

Sam's Club
Sophomore Reagan Sams set a new season-high on the floor from the fourth spot in the rotation. The Bentonville, Arkansas-native scored a 9.800 on the floor surpassing her previous high of 9.775 two weeks ago. Sams has now scored a 9.725 or higher on the floor in three-straight weeks.
