The Southeast Missouri cross country teams competed at the Redbird Invite in Normal, Illinois Friday morning. 
The men's team finished the 8k race third out of seven teams racking up 95 points across the top 5 finishers. Wartburg College took the title with 16 points beating out the host Illinois State who collected 50 points. 
The top three for the Redhawks remain unchanged from the past three races. 
Garrett Dumke paced the team finishing in 11
th with a time of 24:53.9. 
Nick Cimmarusti finished behind him in 13
th in 25:06.6 and 
Evan Fuller was third on the team finishing in 21
st with a mark of 25:49.2.
Myles Thornburg was the next finisher in 24
th place in 26:09.6 and 
Ian Schwierjohn, who finished in the top five for SEMO for the first time placing 26
th in 26:20.4. 
Other Finishers for the Redhawks included 
Byron Sowerby (27
th, 26.42.2), 
Clayton Eftink (29
th, 26:28.7), 
Trey Mygatt had a personal best for the third consecutive meet with a time of 26:42.2, 
Sam Rinehart (27:143.5), 
Jacob Blassingame (27:14.9) and 
Tyler Anderson (27:39.7). 
The women's team finished the 6k race in fourth out of seven teams, collecting 92 points. Illinois State won the meet collecting 28 points over Northern Iowa with 42 points. 
Lauren Eftink finished first for SEMO finishing in 11
th in 22:34.8 ahead of 
Daphne Bishop behind her in 14
th in 22:46.1. 
Lexie Dockstader finished third on the team, in 19
th and set a new personal best 22:58.4, 
Erika Mellor finished fourth in 23:04.8 and wrapping up the scoring was 
Julia Martinez Dura in 26
th with a mark of 23:08.9.
Other finishers for the team included 
Kayla Vogelsang (27th, 23:12.7), 
Alayna Sparr (32
nd, 23:34.0), 
Ceyda Bayur (24:05.3) and 
Claire Horstman (24:29.0). 
The Redhawks will have a week off before they return to the trail in the Show-Me State competing in the Gans Creek Classic hosted hy the University of Missouri in Columbia.
