Southeast Missouri Baseball (27-24, 13-11 OVC) will conclude the 2025 regular season with a three-game series against Little Rock (19-29, 8-13 OVC) beginning on Thursday, May 15 and concluding on Saturday, May 17. First pitch is slated for 6 p.m. on Thursday & Friday and will commence at 2 p.m. on Saturday afternoon from Capaha Field in Cape Girardeau.

Senior Day

The seniors will be honored ahead of Saturday afternoon's contest at Capaha Field.

Sawyers vs. Little Rock
The Redhawks and Trojans meet for the seventh, eighth, and ninth time this week in the nine-year tenure of Head Coach Andy Sawyers. In six meetings, the Redhawks have an overall record of 4-2. A season ago, the Redhawks dropped two-of-three to LR in Little Rock but swept the Trojans in their most recent visit to Capaha Field (2023).

Weekend Roundup
Southeast Missouri most recently visited Southern Indiana to take on the Screaming Eagles in Ohio Valley Conference play in the final road trip of the season. USI took all three games of the series from the Redhawks beginning with a 9-6 victory on Friday night. The Redhawks jumped out toa. 3-0 lead in the top of the first inning, but a big five-run inning from USI propelled them to a game one victory. Trailing 7-6 in Saturday's contest, second baseman Carson Schrack led off the top of the ninth inning with a game-tying home run, his third of the season. USI would get runners on in the home half and an RBI sacrifice fly beat the Redhawks by a final score of 8-7. A pitcher's duel on Sunday afternoon resulted in a 5-2 victory for USI as the Redhawks dropped the series in Evansville.

Over .300
Right fielder Cole Warehime enters the final weekend of the regular season as the only Redhawk hitting above the .300 mark. At .306, Warehime leads the club in batting average with a 56-183 mark at the plate. He is the only Redhawk in double figure home run territory with a team-high 11 bombs. He is slugging a team-best .541 with 10 doubles, 11 home runs, and has driven in 45 RBIs.

The First Baseman
Bryce Cannon has started all 51 games at first base this season for the Redhawks and has 18 multi-hit games so far this year. Cannon has had two or more hits in four-of-his-last five games, including a three-hit day on Saturday afternoon at USI. He is batting .291 on the season with eight home runs, 35 RBIs, and an OVC-leading 18 doubles.

They Are on Base Again

Mugan has an impressive 20-game streak, while Warehime is just behind with a 12-game streak of his own.
