CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – Southeast Missouri Baseball (19-15, 6-3 OVC) fell in game one of the weekend series with Eastern Illinois (15-15, 6-3 OVC) by a final score of 6-3 in 19 innings at Capaha Field on Friday night.
The game set a new Ohio Valley Conference record for most innings played in an OVC game. The 19 inning game lasted five hours and 19 minutes.
The two teams combined to use 14 pitchers, nine Redhawks and five Panthers, as the eighh through the 18
thinning produced zero runs from either side.

Caleb Corbin tied it in the bottom of the seventh inning with an RBI single with the Redhawks trailing 3-2. Corbin singled to center field to allow
Ty Stauss to come into score.
The Redhawks got scoreless innings from RHP

Gavin Johnston, RHP
Brian Strange, and LHP
Ethan Osborne. For Johnston, he pitched 5.0 innings of scoreless baseball while striking out a career-high eight hitters.
The Panthers would score three runs in the top of the 19
th inning to steal game one, 6-3.
