CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – Southeast Missouri Baseball finalized its 55-game schedule ahead of the upcoming 2026 season, the program announced on Monday. The schedule features 29 games at Capaha Field and 26 games away from Cape Girardeau.

SEMO Baseball is coming off a 30-25 overall record in 2025 and enter the 10
th season under head coach
Andy Sawyers this year. In nine seasons, Coach Sawyers holds a 247-222 overall record and a 129-93 mark in OVC play. The Redhawks have one OVC regular season title and three OVC Tournament titles under Sawyers' guidance.
The Redhawks will begin their season with four-straight home games in Cape Girardeau when they welcome in Illinois State (Feb. 13-15) and Saint Louis (Feb. 17) before heading on the road for the next five.
SEMO will then head to Bowling Green, Ky. to take on Western Kentucky in a four-game set (Feb. 20-22) beginning a five-game road trip for the Redhawks. A midweek contest at Ole Miss (Feb. 24) will conclude the road trip.
Eight home games in nine days follows the road swing as the Redhawks will host Miami (OH) for four games (Feb. 27-Mar. 1) before welcoming Milwaukee-Wisconsin (Mar. 6-8) and Missouri State (Mar. 10) to Cape Girardeau. A brief road midweek matchup with Evansville (Mar. 3) is the only game not at Capaha Field over that stretch.
One final road series will get the Redhawks for 2026 OVC play when they travel to Wright State (Mar. 13-15) in Dayton, Ohio. SEMO will host a return trip from Evansville (Mar. 18) before beginning OVC play in Cape Girardeau with UT Martin (Mar. 20-22).
The 27-game OVC schedule will continue with series at Western Illinois (Mar. 27-29) and at Lindenwood (Apr. 2-4) marking six-straight road conference games. The Redhawks will host Morehead State (Apr. 10-12) before going to Tennessee Tech (Apr. 17-19).
SEMO Baseball will wrap-up the OVC slate with two home series and two road series beginning with SIUE (Apr. 24-26) in Cape Girardeau, at Eastern Illinois (May 1-3), home with Southern Indiana (May 8-10), and will conclude the regular season at Little Rock (May 14-16).
Sprinkled into the conference slate are six midweek matchups for the Redhawks, four at home and two on the road. The Redhawks will host Murray State (Mar. 31), Southern Illinois (Apr. 21), Missouri (Apr. 28), and Austin Peay (May 5). SEMO will make return trips to both Murray State (Apr. 14) and Southern Illinois (Apr. 7).
The 2026 OVC Baseball Tournament will take place in Marion, Illinois from Mtn. Dew Park beginning on Wednesday, May 20 and concluding with the championship on Saturday, May 23.
