
Tennis Concludes OVC Fall Tournament with Three Champions

EVANSVILLE, In. - Southeast Missouri tennis goes three for three in the championships during day two of the OVC Fall Tournament at the Evansville Tennis Center.
Juliette Demunck captured the Redhawks only singles title while Lera Valeeva and Kristina Kozakova, and Mia Mayerová and Maja Bajorek both won doubles championships.
Champions
Lera Valeeva and Kristina Kozakova rolled past Southern Indiana's Antonia Ferrarini and Madison Windham 6-0 to claim the doubles flight one championship.
Juliette Demunck won the singles championship in flight five against Payton Tomichek from SIUE. Demunck lost the first set 3-6, battled back in the second and won 6-4. Then closed things out in the super tie break and won 10-5.
In the flight two championships Mia Mayerová and Maja Bajorek cruised to an easy 6-0 victory over Paige Grice and Mana Fawcettin from WIU to claim the doubles flight to championship.
Consolation Bracket
In the consolation bracket of flight four Kozakova took on L. Reneovales-Salazar from Eastern Illinois. Kozakova won in straight sets defeating Reneovales-Salazar 6-4, 6-0.
The Redhawks will be back in action on Oct. 4-5 competing at the Murfreesboro Tournament in Murfreesboro, Tenn.
